One-Shot Happy Halloween!! 🎃👻

A/N: Happy Halloween everybody! Thank you so much for reading my stories, it means a lot. I hope you enjoy this Halloween themed one shot! This is also a human au, and it's before Percy is reunited with Annabeth. I'm sorry if this is really bad, I'm literally publishing at 2 am. 

Annabeth POV

Today was the day of one of my best friends' Halloween party. I go to Golden Gate High School in California. I put on my detective costume. My friend Hannah, who was hosting the party, chose it for me because I solved a lot of mysteries. Not crimes or anything, but things like "The Case of the Missing Water Bottle" and "Does James Like Me". She always called me Detective A Plus. Why I decided to humor her? I have no idea.

I walked downstairs to the kitchen. "Hi Annabeth," Helen greeted me. "Would you like some avocado toast before you go?" I nodded my head and grabbed a piece of toast from Athena plate that was sitting on the counter. 

I spread some avocado onto it and lightly sprinkled some seasoning into the mix. I finished the snack and thanked Helen before stepping out of my house and into the frigid air. 

I looked at my phone (Leo made them monster-proof). It was 6:00. My ride said she would be here at 6. I sat on the curb and waited. 6:05.

6:10.

6:15.

I finally stood up. Great. Gabriella had forgotten about me. Thanks a lot Gabi. I walked down the beach, which was where Hannah's apartment was at. I stared at the water.

I missed Percy. A lot. It had been forever since I had seen him. I hadn't seen him since he went missing 8 months ago. And I worried about him every day. The only reason I came back one and stopped searching was because everyone that I knew had practically begged me to.

I sighed and turned away from the ocean. 

I knocked on Hannah's door. A man in a clown costume opened it. "Come on in." The guy wiggled his eyebrows creepily. I gave him a look and he sighed and let me in.

The music was loud. The lights were bright and flashing. I ran into Hannah. "Hey Hannah," I yelled. "Could we maybe turn the music down a bit? It's giving me a headache."

Hannah looked up at me. "Oh yeah, totally. Nice costume Detective A Plus!" I smiled tightly. "Thanks."

Hannah went over to the DJ and whispered something in his ear. The music's volume turned down a little and a slow song played. I rolled my eyes. Hannah came back over to me. "It's time you get a boyfriend, Annabeth! Just dance with someone!"

"I told you I have a boyfriend!" 

"Really?! Because I've known you for almost a year now and I've only seen pictures that are probably photoshopped!"

I sighed and walked away. Why wouldn't anybody believe that Percy was real? I know he went missing but I love him. And I won't ever stop loving him.

The man who let me in came up to me. "Wanna dance?" He asked. He honked his clown nose. I rolled my eyes. "Absolutely not." I said.

I walked out of the house and sat on the beach. It was freezing, but I didn't care. I wanted to be alone. Actually, no, not alone. I wanted to be with Percy. Not the idiots at that party. Hannah and Gabi were usually great, but they were nothing compared to my friends back at the summer camp I went to. 

Nothing compared to Percy.

I heard footsteps in the sand behind me. I turned around, expecting to see the clown guy or Hannah, but instead, there was a boy. He wasn't dressed up or anything. He just stood there holding flowers, his dark hair blowing in the wind. 

I stared into his sea-green eyes in disbelief.

"Trick-or-treat?" He said. A smile spread across my face. "Percy!" I exclaimed, tackling him in a hug. We stood up and I judo-flipped him. "Where the heck have you been?! You scared me seaweed brain!"

Percy groaned from the floor. "I was kind of kidnapped but thanks for asking."

My eyes widened. "Oh my gods (couldn't resist)! Are you okay?" Percy nodded. "I am now. But I lost my memories. The only thing I could remember was...you."

I smiled and hugged him again. I kissed him on the cheek and we walked to his mom's house together. My Seaweed Brain was finally back. And I would never let him get away from me again.
