chapter 5: team assignments.

Team placement day had arrived.
Unlike normally how the team was 3 and 1 sensei  to prevent casualty rates from rising the change was made to 2 and only one sensei.  Doing this prevented, in Tsunade's opinion at least,losing more shinobi then necessary.

Thus the teams were assigned as.
Team 7.
Sakura Haruno.
Kiba inuzuka.
And sensei.
Kakashi hatake.

Team 8.
Hinata hyuga.
Naruto Uzumaki.
And sensei.
Kushina Uzumaki.

Team 9 was in circulation

so team 10 was.
Ino Yamanaka.
Shikamaru Nara.
And sensei.
Kurenai yuhi.

The rest were what's known as a shinobi reserve list. Basically replacing any casualty or backup needed for supplies and support. Sasuke Uchiha was kept aside for fear of his arrogance.

That and Itachi wanted to personally train his brother to unlock his sharingan.  Mikoto took over the Uchiha clan's head of house position and chair on the council while Kushina took the Uzumaki clan's seat on the council.

Sasuke was upset he wasn't placed on a team but given his evaluation and his reaction to the truth of what Itachi told him, both Mikoto as the clan head and

Itachi the next in line to take over, decided he was more of a flight risk then a valuable asset to konoha's ranks.

Realistically Itachi was grooming Sasuke to join the anbu black ops and restore the uchiha police task force of the leaf.

However to do that required Sasuke take on at least 2 wives to restore the clan.
The same went for Itachi. But the only person Itachi ever loved he'd killed.

He knew it was selfish but he would ask naruto to revive his beloved Izumi Uchiha using edo tensei jutsu.

Naruto didn't do it to be selfish.
Reviving his mother he did to get more answers that were left unsolved.

And Naruto knew the risks of tampering with time had it's consequences. So decided against itachi's request since the RINNE-REBIRTH was very draining on his Chakra levels and could only revive one person at a time depending on the soul being brought back from the dead.

Itachi didn't push the issue further as he'd noticed Naruto was still slightly tired from his previous use of both jutsu.

However, Naruto did state that once fully recovered he'd grant Itachi's request. As time went by and several introductions were made team Kushina had their first test of teamwork.

The next day Hinata was grabbed by Naruto and carried to training field 4.

Their mission was to capture Kushina and claim the bells to pass her test.
Needless to say, kushina didn't hold anything back against them.

She'd immediately activated her Chakra chains and sent them at Naruto and Hinata when the chains came at them Naruto sped around them while Hinata used her clan's defensive heavenly rotation technique to repel them.

Sadly Naruto didn't know the exact number of chains his mother could make and eventually got caught by the ankles he vibrated through them and gripped a bolt of lightning in his hand.

He then created a giant wind funnel around Kushina and let it carry him into the air above her he then threw it at her back with enough voltage to parylize her.  Hinata then shut down kushina's Chakra points and grabbed the bells.

After Kushina woke up from being both suffocated and electrocuted at the same time she'd noticed the bells were missing. Naruto and Hinata then dangled the bells in front of her and said.
