chapter 9: Tsunade and Shizune's pregnancy.

Naruto Kushina Hinata Sasuke and Itachi had returned from the wave country mission after a month of staying to protect both the bridge builder and his family and keep the bridge from being destroyed by Gato and his goons.

Naruto had expected Tsunade to be pregnant by now but what he didn't expect was for Shizune to be pregnant as well. When Shizune explained everything Naruto was slightly irritated that Iruka was too afraid to personally tell Naruto himself.

But what almost sent Naruto into a fit of rage was that they got engaged without his blessing while he was away. Despite having Tsunade's blessing to be married Naruto wasn't happy about it at all.

On top of that, even more surprises were sprung on Naruto being asked to be appointed their child's godfather.
A title Naruto neither accepted nor denied. All he said was.
"I'll think about it"

And as for blessing their engagement,
Well, Naruto was unhappy about it and said.

" I will not bless your engagement.
Such secrets should not have been kept from me yet you chose to anyway.

I don't take kindly to surprises.
Something Iruka sensei knows all too well and yet you kept this from me.

Then got yourself pregnant with his child and now expected me to just accept the title of godfather to your child???.

If this was a joke I'd be laughing. But seeing as it's not a joke and I'm not laughing I stand by my decision.

I will not bless the marriage. You do not have my blessings because you kept it secret from me and worst of all, you got pregnant without telling me until now.

This is so much to take in and I must meditate on my decisions on what to do.
The chunin exams are approaching.
You will have my answer before then."

Considering that the chunin exams were a month away Naruto had 3 weeks to decide on what he should do and how to approach the current situation he is in.

He would have to talk with his now grandfather Jiraiya about what being a godfather was like for him. It's already been 2 months since Shizune and Tsunade got pregnant with their first child from Iruka and Jiraiya.

Naruto had taken Tsunade's pregnancy better than Shizune's because of the deal he'd made with them saying he'd allow it. But never did he agree to allow Iruka and Shizune the honor of having a child.

By the time of the chunin exams finals, Shizune would be 4 months pregnant.
Naruto didn't show it but he was furious.

He viewed Iruka sensei as a big brother and Shizune as a big sister figure to him.
But then they decided to get pregnant and expected him to bless their marriage and become their child's godfather???.

Being a father of several children himself he had enough to worry about with his children and wife Hinata.

To take responsibility for someone else's child was not on his to-do list at the moment. He still couldn't find any more Uzumaki clan members to rebuild the clan within the hidden leaf village.

Naruto then shouted to himself.

"OF ALL THE IRRESPONSIBLE, GREEDY, INCONSIDERATE THINGS TO DO!!!. FIRST GETTING MARRIED, THEN GETTING PREGNANT NOT LONG AFTERWARDS, AND THEN EXPECTING ME TO BE THEIR CHILD'S GODFATHER LIKE IT'S NO BIG DEAL??!!. LIKE IT'S OKAY TO SURPRISE ME LIKE THAT!!??.

ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE THEY HOPED I WOULD BLESS THEIR ENGAGEMENT AND ALLOW THEM TO BE MARRIED THINKING I'D JUST ACCEPT IT AND MOVE ON!!??, ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!. NO WAY!!!. I DON'T TAKE KINDLY TO SECRETS!!!."

meanwhile, downstairs Tsunade and Jiraiya were Flinching at the sound of Naruto venting his frustration and anger at how Naruto wasn't told about Shizune's pregnancy and her engagement to his most trusted sensei from the academy Iruka Umino.
