Samael chased after Asli as she giggled and ran back into their room. She slammed the door shut in his face. But he managed to wedge his foot in between.
"You're going to be in so much trouble." He growled and shoved the door as hard as he could.
Asli quickly stumbled back, unable to keep the smile off her face.
"I'm sorry..." she said, not sorry at all.
He stepped towards her, glaring down at her. She bit her lip and looked up at him with her innocent eyes biting her lip.
Samael was quickly distracted by her eyes and her sweet lips, forgetting what he was even angry about.
"I was just trying something new." She defended.
"And you couldn't have waited until our meeting was over, could you?" He questioned, raising his eyebrow at home.
She shook ahead of him playfully but then grew serious as she thought about the meeting.
"Do you really think I'm capable of becoming a part of your council? I'm an angel, and on top of that, I'm a woman. I don't think they will ever accept me."
"And you think i'd give a fuck about what they think?" He growled, and his eyes darkened. As he thought about his council members, a few of which he hated. He knew he was going to replace them soon enough. Anyone else who was going to object to him would be gone.
"You have helped me more than Alaris, so you're more than capable of taking over. Tell me honestly, do you want to be a part of my council?"
She knew he was watching her closely, and to be honest, she didn't mind. "If you think I'm capable, then I'm willing to try. But I don't want you to feel like you have to make me a part of hell. And because I'm inexperienced, I don't want to embarrass you."
Samuel immediately shook his head at her disagreeing.
"I couldn't think of anyone better."
She nodded hesitantly, unsure if she would be able yo handle the pressure of handling something as sensitive as security.
Samuel led them both back towards his bed, pushing her down on it and climbing over her.
"What are you doing?" She asked as excitement glimmered in her eyes.
"Nothing, my angel, we're just going to lay down for a little bit."
She held back a frown and just laid beside him.

Asli woke alone the next day. She knew she had become too clingy, but her heart tugged every time she thought about being too far from him, even being in another room was too much. She didn't know why it was like this, but she had to learn to control it. Patience was one of her strengths. But ever since they had resolved their issues she couldn't bare it. There would always be that fear that he was going to leave her again.
Just as she was climbing out of bed, he entered their room with a tray of food. "Go on, freshen up." He nodded at her, seeing her awake. She pouted cutely and went to the bathroom, cleaning her teeth, washing her face and whatever else she felt necessary before coming back out. He was waiting for her on the bed with a bored look, but as soon their eyes met his eyes brightened when he saw her smile. He didn't know that he could be this attached to any creature. But all that emptiness and loneliness he used to feel was filled by her presence.
"Let's eat, and then we are going out."
She perked up with curiosity. "Where?"
He had a secretive smile on his face and she frowned. "Well?" She questioned further.
