Chapter 4

When Leeteuk left the room, Heechul wanted to follow him out, but he didn't because the younger told him to stay in the room. He barely knew about the condition the younger was in so he didn't want to go out and mess it up.

Heechul sat on the edge of the bed, looking at the door and mentally preparing himself to hide if the situation came to be.

However, 15 minutes passed by. And nothing happened except for the constant yelling of Leeteuk's father. Resulting in Heechul getting anxious.

On the other side of the door, Leeteuk saw his father standing in front of the TV with one soju bottle in one hand and a remote controller in the other. Leeteuk kept the documents in his back pocket and stepped towards his father.

His father turned and saw him, taking a big gulp directly from the bottle, his father marched towards him. Since he was drunk out of his mind, he could barely balance his steps.

Before Leeteuk could react, the drunkard slapped him directly in the face.

In pain, he wanted to scream, but he bit his lower lip to control his scream, knowing that if he did, Heechul would come out and it would only result in something worse.

His father yelled while pushing him, "You useless piece of sh*t! Why didn't you clean hah?!!!! What- what if I-I tripped and fell?!!! What will you do?!!!"

With that, he kicked Leeteuk in the stomach making him fall, "You are just like your mother! Garbage! You don't do anything!"

Leeteuk managed to get up but it was in no vain as his father kicked his stomach again and punched him right in the face, Leeteuk could feel that his nose was severely injured as blood came pouring out, he hastily wiped his nose with his sleeves, but because he applied a bit of force, his nose started hurting, tears started to pour down his eyes but he still didn't make a noise, instead with his other sleeve he started wiping his tears.

His father sat on him, "What are you crying for? You p**sy!" And he started punching and ruthlessly kicking him, Leeteuk's whole body was in pain and he barely could move.

After half an hour of constant beating and curses thrown at him, Leeteuk could feel himself blacking out, however, his father stopped hitting him then and spat, "Clean up the mess!"

And went off to sit in front of the TV. Leeteuk managed to get up, he first went to the kitchen and washed his face, the blood was still pouring out from his nose and lips and Leetuek couldn't stop the flow so he stuffed some tissues in his nose while he let out a choked sob, he took another tissue and wiped his lips with it.

He knew he had to finish cleaning before his father fell asleep so he could ask for the signature.

He took a garbage bag and started to put all the dry garbage in it, washed the dishes, and swept and moped the floor. By the time he was over, 1 hour had already passed by.

After keeping the mop away, he went and saw that his father was starting to doze off, he stood by the couch and said in a small voice, "I am done cleaning."

"took you long enough," His father said with a burp followed by a yawn. The drunk man could barely keep his eyes open as he still tried to glare at Leeteuk.

"Sir, can you sign this?" Leeteuk bought out the document.

"What is that? Why should I?" The drunk man asked, now suddenly awake as he eyed the document.

Leetuek could feel his heart pounding, every inch of his body was telling him that this was a bad idea and he should just retreat and forget about everything.

But then he saw the door to his room, which was closed thankfully, he remembered Heechul who was in the room, who was doing so much for him, he clenched his teeth and straightened his back, "Dad - no-sir this is a consent form for the part-time job I am taking, they said they need parent's signature or else they won't allow me to work."

Hearing that it was for the job, his father relaxed, knowing fully well that if Leeteuk worked, he would earn money and then he could use his son's money to buy some more soju.

He grunted, "Give me that!"

Leeteuk handed the papers and a pen to his father nervously, he was scared out of his mind, what if his father started to read the paper, what would he do then?

However, his father didn't bother reading, instead asked him, "Do I need to stamp too?" With that, the old man started fumbling for his stamp in the small cupboard under the TV. After fumbling for a while, he found the stamp, he then signed the papers and stamped it too before giving it back to Leeteuk, "Tell them they have my full consent...I stamped and signed it! Work hard and bring me money...."

His father slurred his words as he hiccuped in between. Leeteuk couldn't believe that it was this easy to get his sign. He was panicking and said, "Okay I will sir."

The drunk man barely paid him any attention after giving him the documents back which Leeteuk was thankful for.

The younger managed to walk back to his room with a smile on his face. As soon as he entered the room, he saw Heechul standing in front of the door.

When the older saw the younger's face, he couldn't describe what he was feeling, relief when he saw the younger was back, anger when he saw the younger's face which was now turning black and blue followed by disgust and guilt.

Leeteuk closed the door behind him and said, "I got the sign."

Heechul however didn't say anything, he just engulfed the younger in a hug which made the younger wince in pain, the older realized this and let the younger go, "What happened to you? I-"

The younger still was smiling despite all the pain in his body, "It's nothing. I got the sign, Heechul. I got the sign!" The older felt a sting in his heart, he was really happy for the younger but felt way too bad for him too when looking at the younger's face.

"I am happy. Now we should just get away from here." The older said in a serious tone.

The younger too nodded, "Okay. Wait for 5-10 minutes, I'll go out first to see if he has fallen asleep or not, and then we can go away!"

The older nodded, he also wanted to ask where else the younger was injured but he knew now was not the time, they would have to stay alert for a few minutes and when he took the younger back to a safe place, his place, then he would call a doctor for the younger. For now, all he could do was wait.

Another update. To make things clear, Due to Leeteuk's age, he can actually work without consent. However, his dumb father is not aware of this. In addition, Heechul is 21 years old.

(The legal Age in Korea is 19. The age of consent is 20

The legal drinking age is 19, as is the voting age. The age of consent for marriage is 20 although a man over 18 and a woman over 16 may marry with their parents' or guardians' consent.)

For this reason, Heechul doesn't need consent from a guardian, however, Leeteuk needs it. Also, The above information might be not accurate, but for the sake of the story follow it.
