Chapter 9

After Leeteuk was done attending his lectures, he decided to go look for part-time jobs, the last place he worked for was a convenience store and the owner was not someone who could be called nice. The pay was crappy and always late and with Leeteuk's condition, he couldn't continue working there.

He remembered that near the UNI, he had seen a cafe that was hiring part-timers, so he thought he should apply there. But there was a problem, while going to the cafe, he had to cross an alley and Leeteuk had some bad history with alleys.

If he could, he would completely avoid it but he knew he couldn't, so he walked into the alley, 2 guys were smoking there, so he lowered his head and decided to walk quickly. However, he had to stop when one of the guys, stood in front of him.

Memories started to flood into his mind and Leeteuk suddenly couldn't breathe, he could barely make out that the guy in front of him was asking him for money.

Leeteuk's whole body started shaking and he tried hard to breathe. Guy 1 who stepped in front of him, pushed him down, making Leeteuk fall, Guy 2 kicked him and yelled, "Stop acting like an idiot and give us some money."

The kick made him come to his senses, he was still shaking and could barely breathe but his mind started to function again, he tried to get up again and run away, Guy 1 saw him getting up and tried to kick him but everyone stopped when they heard a voice yell, "Stop! I have called the cops."

Guy 1 and Guy 2 looked at each other and then at the person who was coming towards them, his phone screen showed that he was on a call with the 119, and both of them looked scared and ran away.

The guy who called the cops approached Leeteuk who was standing with his back against the wall, trying to even his breathing.

"Are you alright?" The guy asked, his voice full of concern.

"I-" Leeteuk could only let out a word, he tried to take a deep breath to calm himself down. In his mind, he kept repeating, 'I am fine, nothing happened, it's alright'.

The guy noticed that Leeteuk stopped talking and asked again, "Do want me to call the ambulance? should we go to the hospital?"

Leeteuk looked up at the guy and saw that his face was full of concern, Leeteuk smiled and said, "I am fine. I only got 1 kick before you came. Thanks for the help."

"You don't need to thank me. Are you sure you are alright? I can take you to the hospital if you want." The guy said.

"Yes, I am fine. Thanks anyway." Leeteuk said, as he stood up straight and smiled at him.

"Can you walk?" The guy asked again.

"Yes. Let's get out of here." Leeteuk said.

The two of them walked out of the alley and then the guy said, "By the way I am Yunho. What's your name?"

"Park Jeongsu but you can call me Leeteuk," Leeteuk said with a smile.

Leeteuk walked together with Yunho in an awkward silence, and in a minute or two they almost reached the cafe, he looked at Yunho and then said, "Well this is it. I have to go now."

Yunho looked at Leeteuk and then at a cafe and asked, "Wait are you also going to apply to work there?"

"Yeah....wait also? Are you applying too?" Leeteuk asked.

"Yup." Yunho said in a cheerful voice, "It would be great if we work together." 

Leeteuk nodded and then said, "Yeah but we have to pass the interview first."

"Hey! We'll pass," Yunho said lightly bumping his fist against Leeteuk's shoulder.

When they walked into the cafe they directly went to the counter, Leeteuk asked the girl who was serving, "Hello. We want to apply for part-time. So who should we talk to?"

The girl looked at both of them and blushed, they looked so good, she tried to calm down and said in a soft voice, "Senior Siwon is taking an interview over there." Then she pointed at the table in the corner.

"Okay thank you," Yunho said and they both walked towards the table she pointed at.

"Hello, we are here to apply for a part-time position," Leeteuk said to the guy sitting at the table.

Siwon looked at them and asked, "You two came together? You guys friends?"

"We just met outside," Leeteuk replied.

"But we became friends." And Yunho added.

"Okay then. Sit down. It's just a casual interview so don't be too nervous." Siwon said as he pointed at the seat in front of him.

They both sat down and Siwon asked wasting no time on small talks, "Do you have any experience in working at a cafe?"

Leeteuk answered first, "Yes I have worked part-time jobs at a cafe before."

Soon they were done with the interview and they both got selected. Both of them are happy that they get to work with each other. They will start from tomorrow. And will work from 3 pm - 7pm.

"See I told you we will pass," Yunho said as they walked out of the cafe.

"Yeah Yeah, you did," Leeteuk said while giving him a playful eye roll.

"Wait we got to celebrate this." Yunho said as he dragged him to the vending machine, "What do you want to drink?"

"Cola." Leeteuk said.

Yunho pressed the button for cola two times, Leeteuk saw this and asked, "You also like Cola?"

"Yup. It is refreshing isn't it?" Yunho said as he handed him one can. And Leeteuk could only nod in agreement.

"By the way, what's your phone number? Let's add each other." Yunho said as he removed his phone while Leeteuk did the same and they both added each other.

Ending the chapter here. I feel like my writing skills have gone bad. I had to think so much to write one chapter. Took me 4 hours to write this one. By the way I have a question, is it Jungsoo or Jeongsoo? In some fics I have seen Leeteuk's name written as Jungsoo while in others it is written as Jeongsoo. So you guys tell me which one should i write?
