The Human Realm: Earth. Home to supernaturals, sighted and humans. Accessible from the Other Realm (Elyssios) through portals.

Shadow World: The hidden supernatural world within the human realm, unseen and unnoticed by most humans (Unsighted).

Magic: The common term that encompasses the spells used by many supernatural races (eg. angels, demons, witches, nephilim, cambion, faerie)

Supernaturals: Non-human (or half-human) entities that live in the human realm. Includes witches, nephilim, cambion, faeries, changelings, shapeshifters, werewolves, vampires.

Hunters: Mainly comprised of sighted humans who hunt supernatural races for various reasons. Some hunt for sport, for trade, or they work with Keepers to hunt down rogues.

Fallen Hunters: Hunters who specialise in hunting Fallen Angels.

Keepers: Protectors of the Shadow World and of supernaturals. They are generally humans who are Sighted or Known. Sometimes they work with Hunters when supernaturals go rogue and endanger humans or their own kinds.

Slavers/Skin Traders: Traffickers who supernaturals or sighted in the Grey Markets to the highest bidders.

Sighted: Humans who can see into the Shadow World, can see the true nature of those around them - past the glamours.

The Known: Humans who are not sighted, but know about the Shadow World by accident or attack or other circumstances. They can use spells to see the Shadow World if they have the right resources.

Grey Markets: The Shadow World equivalent of the black market.

River Markets: A weekly market held for the general supernatural community, where all manner of things are sold from food to spells to weapons to jewellery. (Kind of like a farmers market.)

Elyssios: Also known as 'The Other Realm' Where the Enniko and Illenium territories reside. Home of angels and demons. Accessible through portals that connect to the human realm.

Elysium Fever: A deadly fever induced from the Elysium Fields that turns angels and demons slowly insane before killing them from the inside out. A truly horrible way to die.

Elysium Fields: Beautiful but deadly. A no-mans land between the Enniko and Illenium territories. It's forbidden to cross the fields due to the peace treaty between the races, but also because the flora and soil on the fields is poisonous to both angels and demons. It's extremely dangerous to risk crossing them, and is too far to fly across without resting.

The Stone Fields: A large area in the centre of the Elysium's where the ground is rock, is the only safe place to rest. However, it is a great distance from both territories and reaching it before exhaustion is difficult for most angels and demons.

Enniko: The City of Demons. A city built for functionality. Overall, the city is coloured with shades of grey and brown. The buildings are mostly square. The majority of all roof's are flat with stairs leading down to the ground. Close to the Citadel there are more detached homes, mostly inhabited by High Demons and the wealthy. No 'apartment complex' is built higher than 3 stories to allow for ease of flight over the city. The city is built in a grid, with very few winding streets, it's all very straight and functional. The streets are wide to allow for five demons to walk comfortably side-by-side. The city is walled and protected by wards, only in wartime are the gates closed. Farmland lies outside the walls, and in wartime the wards are extended to protect the land and farmers.

Lucifon: The Citadel in the centre of Enniko, the huge palace where the Demon Emperor, military, and governing officials are located. Home to many of the High Demons, and barracks of the trainee soldiers (first 10 years of mandatory military service). It is illegal to fly within the walls of the Citadel unless you are a High Demon, and then it is only allowed at the highest floors where there are landing platforms built into the windows.
