Yoongi stood on the battlement overlooking the Elysium Fields as the sun rose somewhere in the distance, far away behind Illenium. The sky glowed orange with the dawn, but Yoongi did not care for its beauty. His face was marred by a deep frown of concern; there had been no sign of Yugyeom or Eunwoo. Usually he wouldn't be worried, but their mission and the situation wasn't one where delays were acceptable or without a sense of dread.

Capture or death. Neither was a good outcome. They knew what they were getting into, but Elysium Fever stuck in his mind. It was a cruel disease, and struck indiscriminately, and everyone was vulnerable to it. He had sent them out in a calculated move, but wasn't heartless to the knowledge that Jungkook would be devastated if two of his only real friends were struck down by Changmin or Elysium Fever. Their continued absence was concerning.

The sound of wings cut through the air with no attempt to keep quiet as they approached him. Yoongi straightened his back and shoulders and raised his chin into a more dominant and authoritative posture. He knew who it was before she landed on the battlement beside him.

"Sakura," he said, not looking away from the distant fields, where the orange glow was fading into a brighter gold with streaks of blue. His nose twitched. He smelled blood. "What are you doing here?"

"They attacked him."

Yoongi snapped his head around to her, and his eyes took in the splattering of blood across her shirt. His heart pounded in his chest at sudden panic for Jungkook.

"Explain," he demanded.

"The Fallen was ambushed by six demons. He was severely injured during the fight. He'd been compromised earlier from some kind of disagreement with Jungkook but I don't know what it was about. A faerie fought by his side until Jungkook and I arrived. His injuries were sustained from weapons of pure gold."

Yoongi stared at her, seeing the tiredness under her eyes and hearing the exhaustion in her voice, and almost felt guilty for the relief he felt that it was Taehyung who was attacked, not Jungkook.

"Jungkook and the cambion were barely able to get him stable. I spent half the night patrolling the area to ensure no one else was lurking around. Kazuha is watching over them to prevent more surprise attack since it's likely they know where the fallen lives, despite the place being warded."

"So they're making their move," Yoongi murmured, jaw clenching. He turned to look at the stone walls of Lucifon behind him, his eyes narrowing with apprehension at what would be coming.

"That's not all," Sakura continued, hesitant. Yoongi glanced at her and waited. "Jungkook - Jungkook said that he remembers everything now. We didn't have a chance to discuss further. The cambion practically threw me out of the house," she scoffed, and once again Yoongi found himself wondering about the cambion who hadn't backed down in the face of an angry Jungkook, or the calculated Sakura. "He just told me to tell you that he remembers what they did to him now."

Yoongi pursed his lips. "Anything else?" He questioned. She shook her head. "Get some rest, Sakura. You need sleep before you go return."

Sakura nodded, gratitude in her eyes. "You should sleep too," she told him. "You look like you haven't slept in days."

Yoongi snorted at her insolence. Part of him slightly relieved she had that familiar glint of mischief in her eyes for a fleeting moment before she spread her wings and departed. Ridiculous as it was, it comforted him. He cursed under his breath when she was gone and looked back over the Elysium's. The news that Taehyung had been attacked and badly, and that Jungkook had suddenly remembered, Yoongi inhaled sharply. They were out of time, it seemed. He needed to speak to the Emperor.
