Discovering Love

With the portal closed, our lives began to return to normal. The world was safe once again, and our work at the office continued as usual. But something inside me had changed.

My feelings for Lily had begun to develop, and I couldn't help but feel drawn to her. She was more than just a colleague now; she was my companion in the fight against darkness, my partner in every sense of the word.

I could hardly believe my luck. "Of course," I said, trying to keep my voice steady.

As we sat down on a bench overlooking the city skyline, Lily turned to me and took my hand in hers. "I have something I want to tell you," she said softly.

My heart raced as I waited for her to continue.

"I know we've always been colleagues, but I've come to realize that you mean so much more to me than that. Being with you makes me feel truly happy and content, and I was wondering if you feel the same way."

I couldn't believe it. The feelings were mutual.

Without hesitation, I leaned in to kiss her, and we both knew that this was the beginning of something special.

From that day on, Lily and I were inseparable. Our love for each other only grew stronger with each passing day, and we were grateful to have found each other in a world that could sometimes be so dark and uncertain.
