Chapter Seven

------------------------The Truth----------------------

During the time in Shredder's lair, Shredder was hime yet. "Karai, are you positive he is gonna show up about now?" Fishface said as he stood up from leaning at the glass wall. Karai nodded as she stood up walking down the steps from the chair. "Yes, I am very positive. My question is, did the Rat King succeeded? His little brown rat didn't show up." She said as she put her hand on her hip. Fishface shook his head no. "I haven't seen the, little fella, yet.." He said as then Shredder walked in as Karai rushed over and stopped, she was going to say something, but Shredder walked passed her. "How was everything, in Japan?.. Father.." Karai asked as Shredder took his seat on his chair. "It was long than I attended, but I have gotten a new member." He said and paused as Tiger Claw walked in and walked to the steps. As Karai followed him. "His name is Tiger Claw, my new second in command." Shredder said as Karai was shock and turned to him. "What! But.. I am second in command!" She yelled. "Quite Karai! You haven't even ONCE stopped the turtles and their human allies." Shredder yelled back, as Karai smiled. "Actually, we did. Some guy named "the Rat King" payed a visit. He wanted to make a small deal." She said as Shredder looked confused and Tiger Claw looked at her. "And, what was the deal?" Asked Shredder.
         "The deal was simple, if Rat King kills one of the human allies. He wanted to escape the underground city. Which, I am not sure if he successfully did. We haven't heard from him yet--" Karai explained as a small brown rat scratched at the window. "There!" She pointed as Shredder looked the rat and so did Tiger Claw. He snickered. "A rat? How are we supposed to know that HE successfully killed one of these, allies of the turtles you both speak off." Tiger Claw said as Karai walked over to the window and opened the glass as she grabbed the rat. "Because this little fellow is being controlled by the Rat King himself. Meaning, the Rat King did killed, one of the turtle's allies." She said as she closed the window door and turned around. "He just wants out of the underground city. This rat can help you get him out. He can control, any, rat in this city." She explained as Shredder was impressed. "Hmm... Every, rat?" He asked as Karai nodded. Shredder thiught for a while. "I got a job for you Tiger Claw. You can take Rahzar and Fishface with you as you get thid the Rat King, and bring him here. Take the brown rat, I am sure it'll show you where in the underground city."
          Shredder explained to Tiger Claw as he nodded as he started to walk out. "Here Fishface, the rat." Karai said as she handed him the rat. As Rahzar and Fishface started to follow Tiger Claw. "You made me proud, my daughter. I have a job for you." Shredder said as he stood up and walked down the steps. "I heard Baxter Stockman has something of needing for someone." He said as he started to make his way to Baxter's lab and Karai followed.

       During another, semi traning session, Mikey haven't heard what happened two days ago. Everyone, looked sad. And Raph stayed with April more than ever. Mikey started to get suspicious, his leg was hurting alot, so he couldn't train as much. He watch Leo and Donnie training. As Leo won the training, he looked at Splinter. As Splinter nodded. "That, will be it for training today." He said as Leo put his katanas away and then pulled Donnie up. Splinter then turned to Mikey and helped him up. Leo went to get his crutches and handed it to him. Mikey grabbed one as he let go of Splinter then the other. "Guys, uhm.. where the hell is CJ, because I know, that he is not on a family trip. Where is he?" Mikey asked as Splinter, Donnie and Leo looked at eachother. And Splinter, as Leo and Donnie started to walk out. Mikey watched them walk out then he looked at Splinter and titled his head.
        "Sensei.. Wh- what happened to..  CJ?.." Mikey tone of voice was shakey, he was concerned of what happened to his friend, he wanted to know the truth.
"Michelangelo.. I do not know how to say this.. But from what I heard, was.. graphic and very. Terrible. I do no think you want to hear this." Splinter explained as Mikey looked at him. "I'm pretty sure I want to know every detail of it. It can't be THAT bad!" He insisted, as Splinter sighed and sat down on the floor as Mikey went over infornt of him and sat down. "I, do not know how to say this. But, CJ.. he's, gone. As in he died, from rats.." Splinter said and paused as Mikey grew in shock tearing up of what Splinter said. "W- w-  what did.. the rats do to him?.." He asked as Splinter shook his head no. "I can't.. say. From what April and her friend said.. I don't think i should say.." He said as Mikey whiped his tears. "I can handle it! J- just, tell me what they did!"
        Mikey insisted, Splinter could still see tears forming from Mikey's eyes. "Well... from what April had told us.. the rats.. went into his mouth and clawed its way out of his stomach.." He said as Mikey grew in shock and began to cry, as Splinter then hugged him and comfort him. "I am so,, sorry.. They tried to stop it.." Splinter said as Mikey hugged back, as Splinter's ears slowly went down. Leo saw from a far, and pull out is T-Phone to text raph to see if she'll answer. He texted him, nothing. Raph didn't text back in two days. He might aswell go find him. He started to leave the lair and went topside to find him.

        In April's apartment, April been trying to get a hold of Irma, she was pasting back and forth look down at her phone as Raph was on her bed. "April,, You gotta give Irma a break.. her brother did died, I know you wanna make sure she is alright.. but, let her do her own thing.." She said as April stopped as she looked at her phone then at Raph. Aprik qent over to Raph and sat next to him. As then Leo knocked on the window and Raph looked up at the window and Leo did a hand gesture for her to come over to him. "Hold on, it's Leo.. I'll be back." Raph said as they both hugged. As she made her way to the window opening it and climbed out of the apartment and onto the fire escape. He then closed the window and turned to him. "What is it Leo? I'm trying to comfort my girlfriend.." Raph said as she crossed her arms. "So, this is where you've been? What about training!" Leo said as his hands are on his hips.
        Raph seemed angry and snapped. "What about training? WHAT ABOUT TRAINING? DUDE. Our friend died TWO days ago! AND YOU ARE WORRYING ABOUT MY TRANING? Sorry that I am TRYING TO COMFORT SOMEONE THAT JUST LOST SOMEONE THAT DAY! You need to lay off. Give us a DAMN BREAK! BE A LEADER! BE AN OLDER BROTHER." She said as Leo's arms went down, then he crossed his arms and rolled his eyes. "Just, be home tomorrow.." He said as Raph started to make her way into April's room. "Don't count on it." She said as he got in and slammed the window shut. Leo started to think of what Raph said.  He sighed and started to make his way back to lair.
