Starting off with one of my favorite headcanons: Trans Junichiro! This might turn into a little bit Tanizaki x Tachihara, but honestly whose gonna complain?
Junichiro was finishing his grocery shopping for the week. Naomi had stayed behind to help Kyouka get settled into her new apartment. After Junichiro was finally satisfied with the copious amount of tomatoes he placed into the basket-all for Kenji, of course-he decided to make his way back to the agency.
On his way back to the agency, he passed by an alley. He looked down, out of pure habit, and shuddered. Allies always made him uncomfortable. He held his basket closer to his chest and walked past.
A large hand found it's way around Junichiro's arm. The sudden halt of movement nearly pulled Junichiro backward. He scrambled to keep the basket up as a large car whizzed in front of his face, the side of the car barely missing the tip of his nose.
"Holy shit I could have died! How could I have been so careless?! I can't believe I zoned out white crossing the street! What-"
"You okay there, son?" a gruff voice cut through Junichiro's panic.
"Ye-yeah" he answered "I'm alright, thank you"
Junichiro turned to face the man, but froze upon meeting his eyes. His body trembled as he slowly recognized this man from his past.
"No no no no, not him"
Valentino. A large man with a large ego, who had been Junichiro's previous employer before the agency. Junichiro could still remember the days of lining those pockets with wealth born of his own suffering. He quickly pulled his arm out of his grip and prayed-
"Hayami?"
that he wouldn't recognize him.
"I-I'm sorry sir" Junichiro stumbled "I-I think you've mistaken me f-for s-someone else"
Junichiro took a few steps away from him, but Valentino only grabbed his wrist.
"No" he said firmly "I'd recognize you anywhere, Hayami"
"Th-that's not my name"
"You've changed your look" he continued, tightening his grip "Trying to hide from me now?"
Junichiro struggled to pull away.
"Let go!" he shouted "Let go of me!"
Junichiro desperately looked for anyone in the area, but the once populated sidewalk had been left completely baren. Valentino pulled Junichiro closer, and out of pure panic, he shoved the man away.
The loud blare of a truck horn was the last thing heard before Valentino had disappeared. More accurately, he had been thrown.
His body lay two meters from where Junichiro had been standing. He didn't move, he didn't yell or blink. His legs were bent every which way and his head was twisted at an uncomfortable angle.
Junichiro trembled in fear. He couldn't think rationally, so he ran. He clutched his basket of groceries and ran. He didn't know where he was going. The agency was in the other direction, but he didn't care. He couldn't possibly face them after what he'd done.
He finally stopped by a building corner. His legs had finally given out and his lung felt like they were going to implode. He leaned against the side of the building, holding the grocery basket to his chest as he tried to steady his breathing.
"I killed him!"
"I can't believe it, I'm a murderer"
"I didn't even call for help I just ran! Oh God I'm gonna go to jail!"
