Chenle stood in the practice room as "I'm Fakin" by Sabrina Carpenter played in the background. He was trying to finish his choreography for the song but was struggling to come up with even a single movement. The only thing he had down was the singing part of the performance, and he only had three days to complete it.
He sighed and decided to look up outfits instead because he still needed to choose an outfit for Friday. Yellow could symbolize so many things, but for this specific performance, he didn't know what hue of yellow to pick. He honestly didn't know how he felt about everything happening with Jisung. It was beginning to take a lot of energy from him, and he felt drained from every fight they'd had. They had fought that morning, so maybe that is why he felt stuck on the choreography.
Suddenly, the door to the studio opened, and Jisung came inside. "Jisung," Chenle murmured as he got up from the floor.
Jisung scratched the back of his neck awkwardly and cleared his throat, "Kangmi called me asking if you were okay because you weren't answering your phone..."
"oh yeah, I'm just focused on practicing; I'll text her right now." Chenle hated the awkward and tense atmosphere. He just wanted Jisung back.
Jisung nodded and noticed how tense and stressed Chenle looked. "Are you okay?" he asked in a worried tone.
Chenle was not okay in the sense that he didn't like fighting with Jisung and the fact that he couldn't get the choreography for the song. "no, I've been trying to come up with a fucking choreography for the song I'm performing, and I still have nothing," Chenle exclaimed in frustration.
"and I still have the whole performance to plan out."
"I feel like this might be the first time I fail Taeil Hyung, and it's gonna make Kangmi look bad because....." Chenle said with every word, getting closer to breaking down from the stress.
Jisung noticed, and Chenle pulled into a tight hug. "Babe, it's gonna be fine," he whispered into his boyfriend's ear.
Chenle closed his eyes and leaned further into Jisung's embrace. Again, they made up, but at what cost? They didn't solve the argument, which would return to them later.
Unlike Chenle, Donghyuck had the best time of his life practicing for his performance. He had decided that Mark would be his dancing partner, so they were both enjoying their time.
"Hyuck, I think this is enough for today. We've been practicing for two hours, and you're perfect", Mark said as he finished his water bottle. They were both dripping in sweat and very tired.
"Uhm, I guess." Donghyuck started picking up everything and getting ready to leave. They were met with a slight breeze from the night as they stepped outside. Mark held Donghyuck's hand as they walked to Mark's car. Both were enjoying the calmness of the night.
As Mark drove to the frat house where Donghyuck would be spending the night, he thought about the past week's events. He knew Donghyuck was struggling but was still refusing to admit it, and they could only go so far before Donghyuck snapped.
"Hyuck"
Donghyuck looked up at Mark with curious eyes, "yes?"
"We need to talk about this past week," Mark said softly but with seriousness.
Donghyuck gulped and looked out the window, "what about this past week?"
"you know what I mean, the nightmares, and you've barely been to school," Mark pointed out.
It was true. Donghyuck had been starting to have nightmares about Iseul again since school started. He felt so drained from them that sometimes he didn't want to go to school because everything reminded him of Iseul. He hated that this had happened to him, and he hated that he couldn't even be at school for a full day.
