Friday nights have always been long awaited by high school and university students due to the divas' performances. Now that they have changed the performances to every other Friday, they have become even more anticipated. This particular Friday, however, the whole school seemed to have shown up to see the divas perform, as it was their first performance of the year, which meant that it was bound to be one of the best ones.
Kangmi stood before the mirror and fixed her makeup before Doyoung called her to prepare for the stage. She wore a pastel purple wig with a similar haircut to Sabrina Carpenter's hair and a dark purple short silk dress with purple heels. As she waited for the cue to start the performance, she took a big breath and hoped that Josh wasn't there that night.
She opened the night by singing "Email's I can't send," followed by "Sue Me." She had a pianist as she sang, "Emails I can't send," and almost stopped when she locked eyes with Josh. She specifically sang, "I get nice guys and villanize them," when they made eye contact. She continued to perform both songs while making eye contact with him and letting him know that she was sorry and that she would deal with this break like an adult.
The boys who were watching her performance in the dressing room were surprised, as she had changed her performance at the last minute. To be fair, there have been a lot of changes in the performances.
For example, Donghyuck changed his song and no longer performed with Mark. He would go on that stage by himself to perform "Smoke and Fire." Mark watched from the audience with a warm smile because he knew that Donghyuck was singing about his situation and how strong he was trying to be. Seeing Mark in the audience made Donghyuck feel more confident on stage.
Once the red light went out, meaning that Donghyuck was done, the Pink light appeared. Ten stood on stage with a pastel pink wig, corset top, and hot pink pants. He sang "Fast Times" and confidently performed, knowing that Johnny was watching. Ten decided to bring Yuta out as a guest for the guitar solo in the song, and both jammed out on stage as the crowd cheered upon seeing Yuta.
After Ten, Sicheng took the stage to sing "Nonsense." He wore an orange corset and an orange mini-skirt that was slightly darker than the corset. His hair was the same style as Sabrina Carpenter's but in a pastel orange, which suited his face very well. He confidently performed the song, slightly getting nervous as he approached the outro, which he had to come up with on the spot. He wanted to follow the concept that Sabrina used for the song, so here he was, trying to come up with what to say as the whole school stared at him.
"This song catchier than all the prince's parties,
hope to get one of their numbers at tonight's party.
What's the sexy Japanese boy's name?
I think I want him in my bed tonight
~giggle~ that was mid but please call ~giggle~"
Sicheng ran off the stage feeling shy, knowing that Yuta heard the outro, which he was met with a devilish look from him upon meeting each other backstage. "sexy japanese boy, huh?"
"shut up."
Chenle huffed as he walked past them and onto the stage to sing "I'm Fakin". He and Jisung argued before the show, which explains why Jisung sat in the audience with an annoyed look. However, as soon as Chenle was on stage, Jisung's eyes followed his every move. Chenle also didn't look away from Jisung's eyes and sang the whole song to him. He meant the song because he felt it was describing them very well. "I'm slamming the door, but I'm staying." Jisung knew he meant those lyrics and smiled a little, knowing that he and Chenle would always try to work on their relationship.
