Scares Me Most
You could ask me
What scares me most,
I know I should say the dark,
or heights,
maybe even spiders,
but when i think of my heart pacing,
my palms sweating,
the screams of terror...
I think of my smiles,
My laughter,
The kisses on my cheek,
I think of long conversations,
my comfort,
the embraces you give me
When I think of fear,
I see you snatching it all away from me
I see tear-stained pillows,
unopened texts,
and a stranger i once saw marrying me
