Fourteen years ago, Magnus was a high-strung and panic-stricken little boy, all on his own with his sick baby sister. Day and night, they barely survived with food scraps and a lack of warm clothes. It couldn't have gotten any sh-ttier than that. That was until Emily's sickness had left her nearly paralyzed. With her terrible condition and lack of mobility, Magnus had to put up with more wrangles just to get around. If it weren't for AAAnimus, the pair would have been long dead.

The company came like an Angel, saving the kids' lives out of what seemed to be pure benevolence. Magnus wasted no time accepting their offer. He had to do whatever it took to save their lives. To save his sister's life.

As he developed, Magnus grew to be a powerful Bakugan brawler. He had a passion for victory, a cunning, sharp attitude, and a lust for power. Of course, his fierce temper led to many... problems and put the entire world at risk for destruction. But whatever he did, he remembered he was doing it for her.
For Emily.

But.

What was it all for? Just to realize he was all alone? Just to lose everything he was fighting for? Just to hear Karina Kravitz's voice, monotone as ever, say, "Your sister. She's dead."

Following Emily's death, Magnus became an absolute wreck. He fell into a bottomless depression for months. He stopped caring about everything else in the world and stopped taking care of himself. The then 15-year-old distanced himself from the Bakugan Rose, the team in which he met some of his closest friends. He didn't even care about his rivalry with Dan Kouzo anymore.

He wasn't motivated to fight.

He just wanted to cry.

Magnus turned to the worst of habits, slowly losing himself more and more with every passing day. He was slowly turning into the same monster he escaped from when he was 7 years old; Always in a terrible mood and living life half-conscious and half-high every day because what even mattered anymore? The boy couldn't think of a better way to live when he lost the only reason he had to.

As time passed, his once fiery eyes dulled and bore dark circles underneath, and his raven curls grew wild and frizzy past his shoulders. He got weaker and became extremely underweight, as he was when he was a young child. His body screamed at him to not let it die, but he didn't care.  It wasn't that he wanted to die. He simply didn't care.

Now as a deadbeat 21-year-old man, he's become numb to everything. The only thing he can pay attention to is the painful dryness of his throat and the
smoldering cigarette in between his fingers. He puffs out a wispy cloud of smoke, throwing his head back against the dusty brick wall and looking up at the grey sky.

"I'm not too far from you," he almost whispers, a single tear streaming down his left cheek.

"I'll see you soon, Emily."
