"Wake up, Y/n-ya." Law's voice echoed in her ear and woke Y/n up. Upon opening her eyes, she saw his golden eyes staring down at her while she was in his arms.

"You can't keep doing this every time I sleep, captain. If you want to wake me up then send someone to our room and pull me out of the bed. There's no need to use your power to teleport me to you." Y/n says with a sigh as she gets off from his lap.

"There's nothing I can do, no one in the crew can wake you up. You always attack them even in your sleep if you're disturbed. I'm even surprised that you don't do the same whenever I wake you up like that." Law says with a smirk on his face, trying to tease her a little only to fail and be ignored as usual.

"So, why did you wake me up? Did something come up?" Y/n asked as she sat on a chair, crossing her legs and leaning back comfortably. Law looked at her with a certain look and she immediately cast a space that cancels noises from inside and out. Letting them be free to converse without anyone ever hearing a thing from outside.

"I want to become a warlord of the sea." He says as his eyes held seriousness. Y/n didn't seem to be surprised and simply closed her eyes as she continued to listen to his plan when he achieved the title of a warlord.

"But the only problem is how to become one. I doubt the world government would grant me that title if I simply walked to their doorsteps. You've been inside the World government, what are the requirements to become a warlord? " He asked while looking at his interlocked fingers.

"The warlords of today have been offered to become one because either the world government cannot control them or they found a certain weakness that they used to bargain with. If you'd ask for my opinion, I'm most certainly against you being a warlord of the sea for some reasons I chose not to say. However since you've already decided to be one, I have a suggestion." Y/n says as she taps her leg with her finger.

"What is it?" Law asks.

"How about living up to your epithet as the "Surgeon of Death"? I'd say a hundred hearts of notorious pirates will satisfy the world government and give you a seat among the seven warlords of the sea." She says coldly which makes him quite surprised by her brutal suggestion but later on realizes that it would be the minimum price to pay for the title he wants.

"As brutal as always but I don't dislike it. Alright, we'll go with your idea. Tell the crew to get ready. We'll go hunt a few weaklings to offer to the Marines." He says with a smirk on his face as Y/n stands and undid the sound barrier.

Before she had the chance to open the door, Law grabbed her uninjured wrist and hugged her from behind. Despite the absence of the sound barrier, the room was completely silent. Y/n's hand slipped from the doorknob as she stood still.

She didn't utter a word and simply let him hug her tight for a while. After he let her go, she left the room without saying a word and leaned against the door. She looked at her hand and clenched it as she still felt the lingering warmth of his hug on her back.

It had been two years since she joined the Heart Pirates and she knew that the only reason she was accepted into the crew was because of her devil fruit "Nagi Nagi no mi." A seemingly useless fruit that could make you a silent human. She would've never thought that having this useless ability would save her life. What a strange twist of fate but nonetheless, Y/n thanks the past user of her devil fruit for giving her the devil's luck.

"Y/n? Huh, why are you here? I thought you were sleeping in our room?" Ikkaku asked as she passed by their captain's room and saw Y/n standing outside absent-mindedly looking at her hand.

"Captain has a new plan, tell them to resurface right away." Y/n commanded as Ikkaku nodded and acted immediately to tell the other members. Y/n watched as she scurried away and walked to peek at a window. The dark blue sea reminded her of the day she met the Heart Pirates.
