"An alliance? Are you saying that if we work together, we can take down an Emperor? How absurd! I don't know what he wants but don't listen to this jerk's fast-talk, Luffy!" Nami protested.

"It's not like he's saying that we can beat the Emperor straight away. We can get a chance if we follow the plan step by step." Y/n says as she is suddenly beside Law. Nami was shocked to see her in front of them when she was just right beside her a second ago.

"What do you say, Straw Hat-ya?" Law asked.

"Which of the Four Emperors are you talking about?" Luffy asked while Nami began to panic seeing her captain being interested in Law's offer.

"The Emperor's name is...the Strongest Creature, the king of the beasts, Kaidou." Law answered which shocked Nami.

"I see. Okay, let's do it!" Luffy says with a big grin. He said that as long as it wasn't Shanks who they had to fight first then he's willing to cooperate with Law. With the alliance being agreed upon by two captains, Luffy and Nami led the way back to their temporary camp. Luffy's crew were alerted upon seeing Law and Y/n but Luffy then tells them that they'll have an alliance with the Heart Pirates.

"You just went out to reclaim Nami! So how did you come back with such an eccentric idea?! If we ally ourselves with this creep who gives me the chills, I won't be able to sleep in peace at night!" The long-nosed guy says to Luffy, shaking him in protest of the alliance.

"Pfft-" Y/n held back her laugh when she heard Ussop call Law a creep. Law simply ignored her and walked to them and told them about the raccoon that he picked up on their way back to their camp. The man with a curly brow immediately took the raccoon from Law and treated it with bandages.

"Luffy, I'm gonna go along with your decision but alliances between pirates are often marked by betrayal. Maybe it's dangerous for you since you are so trusting." Robin advised Luffy. Luffy asks Law if he would betray him and Law answers no immediately making Luffy smile proudly.

Luffy then tries to reassure his crew by saying that if Law betrays them he won't worry since he has a crew that trained for two years. This made the straw hats blush and happy for the compliment. Law watched their reaction and was starting to think if his decision was right. He then silently side-eyed Y/n who watched them with an unchanging expression. Somehow seeing their interaction made him feel a bit guilty for not even praising his partner for training alone just so she could be useful to him and knew that he certainly missed the chance to do so. He was too caught up in his plans to even appreciate the efforts of his crewmates. A while later, Law and Luffy began to talk about the children they helped escape from the facility.

"They're such a pain- just forget about them. I heard they're drugged." Law says as they watch the children sleep.

"We know! Because I tested them! I just wanna take them home but it'll take a while for them to recover and most importantly, they are so big." Chopper says while Ussop pities the children. Law then talked about the world government's project to make people into giants for military might. Law then asked them if they really wanted to help the children even though they were just strangers. Nami firmly stated that she wanted to help them and couldn't leave unless the children were saved. Law asks if she is willing to be left behind for the children and Luffy says that he won't leave his friend behind and says that if Nami and Chopper want to help then he'll help too.

"You got to help us if you wanna team up with us!" Luffy says which made Law question his decisions once again.

"I thought so. You have no idea. You think an alliance is a cooperative relationship just for some common goal, don't you? Listen. Luffy's idea of an alliance is a little different from yours." Ussop says, pointing at Law.
