The Spacetime Trap

Naruto wakes up. He knows that he has been unconscious but has no idea how long he has been out for. He looks at his surroundings, guessing that perhaps the absence of the sun means that the night has fallen. There is no sun though, not in this place. This is not because of the time of day but simply because the sun never reaches this deep. The only light is the tiny dust-like green and silver energy particles.

Naruto realises where he is now. He was unable to control his divine oddity and defeat Hannah, she ended up casting him into the spacetime trap. This place is as dark as he imagined it would be. There is no wind, it is cold and there are seemingly no boundaries to the infinite darkness. This place appears to just be one endless void.

Naruto wonders how much time must have passed above, what has happened to his daughter, his parents, his sister, and Ming Dai. Without him there to protect them it is entirely possible that Hannah has lost control and slaughtered the lot of them. His only hope is that for some reason her instinct told her to keep them alive, to use them rather than kill them, given that they are not a threat to her.

Regardless of anything else, he has to get out of here.

The 7th Hokage then realises that he is not alone in this place. There are many people around him, each of them in grey uniforms that he doesn't recognise. A lot of them have torn their hair out, others are muttering to themselves, others look like they haven't slept in a thousand years. He guesses that these people must be the other victims of the spacetime trap. These people have probably been here longer than he could imagine and have lost their minds. It is a great shame, but he is not someone who can help with their mental state, all he can do to help is bring them away from this terrible trap.

Naruto uses the One True Sense, combining his senses in the same way Carmen once did, recalibrating them to maximise the most useful in that moment. He puts all his senses behind his eyesight and very high up in the sky above he notices a slight glimmer. It appears that they are all being held here by a layer of this glass-like substance over the top of the trap.

There is only one thing to do. He must break the glass, climb out of the pit, and save everyone.

Naruto directly underneath the glass and begins to notice a beam of light descending from it, a gateway into the outside world. When he steps into this light, the countless insane warriors around him are drawn closer and suddenly confined by four stony walls around them. The shinobi works out that stepping into the light must have triggered some kind of mechanism for an escape attempt. He can now use these four walls in his attempt to reach the glass above.

This is no doubt a much easier climb for Naruto than it is for the others, his shinobi skills allowing him to easily ascend up the walls and strike the glass above. He picks one of them which involves evading the lowest number of those trapped down here. He begins to climb the wall, ascending as quickly as his legs will carry him for several minutes. He is surprised by just how high up this glass is, much more than it appeared to be from down below, likely an effect of the 'space' energy present in this place. In the end he runs non-stop for several hours to reach it.

As he is about to strike the glass, he notices below that all the warriors who lost their minds are gazing up at him, wondering how he will fair against the escape mechanism for this timeless prison.

Naruto gets himself to a good vantage point then launches himself at the glass. He creates a rasengan in his right hand and spins himself mid-air to increase the momentum of the chakra attack. He waits until he is just beneath the glassy surface, noting that it is a lot thicker than it looked from the ground but still quietly confident in his power. Then, he slams the rasengan up into it.
