My eyes went shut, but suddenly, I felt how he grabbed my wrists and pulled me up. He just pulled me back instead of letting me fall and die. I opened my eyes and saw a pair of round blue eyes staring at me. He pulled me up and then threw me on the floor.

"I thought you were smarter." He took a few steps and stood right in front of me. Somehow, I managed to stand up, and only a few centimeters were separating our faces. His perfume was so strong that my head got a little bit dizzy by standing so close to him. Two soldiers ran into the room and cut him off by asking what just happened. Probably someone has seen me from the outside.

"Sie macht für Ihnen zu viel stress Majorn Sternbrink. Wir schiken sie nach unten." One guy spoke and came closer to me. I assumed he wanted to take me with him.

"Nein, ich bin mit sie noch nicht fertig." Major gestured for them to leave. The soldiers nodded and left the room without saying anything else. I felt confused and didn't know if should I be happy or sad that they left me with him. My breath became shaky when he got closer and almost leaned himself over me. Probably, he was feeling my uneven and nervous breathing, so I tried to breathe less. Is he going to rape me and then kill me? Or what is wrong with him? A few moments passed by, and he took a step back but kept his eyes on me.

"There will be no second chance." He hissed. "Move."

What, that's it? I imagined him punching my head in the wall or something like it and then raping me afterward. I stayed quiet and walked back to the room. Major pushed me back to the cell and locked it. This time, he left me free, so I just sat down and leaned my back on the wall. What is going on? I felt terrible, my head was spinning, and I felt like I was going to throw up any moment. I probably had a blackout because I don't remember how I fell asleep. When I woke up, I noticed a bottle of water and a bag with a sandwich next to me. I glanced around, and Major Stein...something was sitting on a chair near the desk.

"Rise and shine." He spoke sarcastically. He saved me from falling, and now brought me food and water. What does he want from me? I was starving, but I took only water and drank almost everything at once. After getting my breath back, I stood up and came closer to the bars.

"What do you want from me? I asked as politely as I could so he at least tell me why he is holding me alive.

"Tell me where you and your team had planned the attacks."

"I don't know a shit about the attacks. I came to Germany to help with the project, but they didn't tell me what kind of project it was." I exclaimed. They have no proof that I planned anything, how can they punish me without a court?

"Sure." He rolled his eyes. "You should've asked about the details. The woman who was with you told us that there would be an attack before my colleagues killed her. But we need the location, and I'm sure she shared the information with you." He stood up, pushed the chair, and came to the bars. "So you better tell me what I want to hear before I send you to the people who aren't so nice."

My brain needed a moment to process the information about Laura. Did she know about the terrorists? To me, she seemed like a smart and intelligent woman who couldn't be a terrorist. I guess it doesn't matter, and I need to save my ass now because Laura is dead. At this point, I realized how pointless it was to argue with him. No matter what, he won't stop asking me stupid questions.

"Is the contract the only proof that allows you to think that I'm working with terrorists?" I asked after a few moments. He stared at me and then narrowed his eyes.

"It's enough to earn you at least five years in prison. Also, you were traveling with one of their leaders, which means a lot in this case. If I say you are a terrorist, my colleagues will see you as a terrorist."
