It seems like his plan is full of doubts because I'm not confident that I can convince anyone of my worth, especially when they are accusing me of working with terrorists. It's crazy to think that his plan will work out, but I'm grateful that he's giving me a chance instead of just sending me to death.
"Tomorrow we are going to attend the meeting, and you can show the council how smart you truly are." He smirked at me. I hated this fake smirk.
I just laid myself down and pulled the blanket on my head. He went to his room and shut the door behind him. I'm so lost in my thoughts right now. Can I even trust him? Creating internal organs is an immensely challenging task, and if I manage to succeed, it could mean that Germany will win the war. Many nations have attempted this endeavor, but none have achieved success due to the need for specialized equipment, substantial resources, and skilled professionals. However, even if I accomplish it, I might still face repercussions. Agreeing to his offer would constitute a betrayal of my country, but refusing could result in my immediate demise. Perhaps with more time, I could strategize an escape plan. Either way, my situation is fucked up so I just play along and see where it gets me.
I fell asleep but was awakened by strange noises in the middle of the night. As I sat up and looked around, I couldn't see anything unusual. But then, I heard some strange squeaking sounds near the window and the door. The thought of someone trying to break in and take me away made me shiver and my heart started racing. Suddenly, adrenaline kicked in and I jumped off the couch. The room was so dark that I could barely see anything, except for some faint lights coming from outside the window which helped me to see my surroundings. I ran away searching for the door, which led to the bathroom, and tried to open it. Suddenly the door went open and Killian appeared in front of me. He was half naked, only with his trousers, and narrowed his eyes after seeing me near the door.
"What the hell are you doing?" He asked with a sleepy voice.
"The.. There someone." I turned around and showed to the window." Someone inside."
He turned on the light and gazed at me with a surprised look, then shook his head."You sick or what?" He asked and touched my forehead." Maybe I hit you too hard last time?"
"No." I raised my voice." I heard something. "
"Yeah, probably my robot, which is cleaning the floor." He gestured his hand to a corner. Then I focused my gaze and saw the round black plate, which was moving around and making this stupid noise.
"Ahh. But maybe there was someone..."
"There is no one." He cut me off." Only my chip can open these doors, and this house has so many securing systems that it is impossible to break in here. You are being paranoid, get yourself together, and go to sleep."
Even if there is no one, I won't be able to sleep in this room with this stupid robot. Of course, I'm being paranoid. Who wouldn't after everything I went through? Killian gazed at me because my body shook like crazy.
"Okay, only because you have to be in good condition tomorrow, I will offer you to sleep in my bed." He spoke and smacked his lips.
"There?" I gestured to his bed. "With you or what?"
"Well, I won't sleep on the couch, so alone there. "He gazed at the couch, and then back to his bed. "Or with me in there."
The choices he gave me were so ridiculous, but still better than no choice at all. I need sleep because soon there will be a meeting with his colleagues and if I look like shit they won't even listen to me, I have to try my best at that meeting, otherwise, I'm going to be sent to the camp.
"I don't want to sleep alone. Your apartment is scary. " This sounded lame from a thirty-year-old woman with a doctorate degree in engineering and biomedicine but I don't give a shit anymore.
