Merlin (Once upon a time fanfic)

part one

Okay so this is my first fanfic,  it came about when  me and a friend where talking about theories of who and what merlin could be and how it will affect the other people in storybrook.

The darkness enveloped emma before entering her soul, like a person walking into their new home. She drops to the ground her body lifeless, Killian sprints over to her aid "Emma? Emma? Can you hear me love?" His voice shaking as worry over come his mind. Emma began to stare as if she was a child waking from a long sleep. "Hey" her voice only just managed as she open her eye slightly.

It had been a few days since the darkness had taken up residents in Emma. Henry spent every spare moment that he had looking for a way to find merlin. The was no mention of Merlin in his book of fairy tales, maybe Merlin isn't a fairy tale but a person like him he thought to himself. Not to say his mom Regina and his grandparents snow, David and rumple where not real but maybe Merlin lived in his world and not the enchanted forest. His mind began to wonder more and more, but was brought back to reality when his phone began to ring. It was Regina his adoptive mother. "Hey darling, where are you? You should have been here 15 minutes ago." "I'm sorry mom, I'm in the library I won't be long I'm on my way now. Love you mom." "I love you to Henry. " with that said he put the phone in his pocket and raced home to Regina's for dinner.

"Mom!" Henry shouted as he burst through the door. "In the kitchen Henry." Regina replied. "We are having lasagne. " she stated as she lift it out the oven and placed it into the middle of the dinning room table.

"Henry could you shout Robin and Roland Please? " Henry walked to the bottom of the large white stair case and shouted to Robin and Roland that dinner was ready.

They charged down the stairs like a heard of elephants. Robin walked into the kitchen and made a bee line for Regina. He placed his hand on her hip and kissed her gentally on the cheek, before pulling out her chair for her to sit down on then sitting down next to her.

"So I was in the library, and I must have looked through every book in there and I can find no reference to a Merlin, but then I was thinking what if this Merlin isn't from the enchanted forest what if Merlin is from my world?" Henry sat proud of what he had said.

"Sweetie, that would be a wonderful idea but your forgetting that storybrook is the only place in your world that has magic, so if this Merlin is the great and powrfull being that we think he is then he would have to be from a place with magic."

Henry nodded as he felt his last glimmer of hope slip away. They sat and ate their lasagne in silence. Regina to scared to say anything else incase she upset Henry further and Henry was upset that his only idea was merely fantasy nothing else.

Robin allowed Round to leave the table to wash his hands and face as he had managed to get food all over them. Henry slumped his way up stairs to his bed room, where he lay on his bed try in to think of another idea as to who or what merlin could be.

"Regina you don't need to do the dishes was have a dis washer for that." Regina turned to Robin with and expression that has to conceal the element of surprise she felt as this was the first time she had heard Robin refer to something in the house as being theirs and not just Regina's. Regina's eyes filled with tears as once escaped down her cheek.

"I can't do this anymore Robin, he was so upset when I told that Merlin had to be from a realm with magic. I'm doing all I can I've looked through every book I own and no where have I found anything on Merlin."

Robin embraced Regina as she sobbed on his shoulder.

"Regina, darling I think you nd Henry need to talk about this he is bound to be upset, one of his mother's is playing host to the darkness power that we know of, he needs you." Robin pointed out to Regina as he slowly let go of her and walked her to the end of the stairs. He kissed her on the cheek as she took to the first step.

Regina knocked on Henry's door and got no reply, this probably meant that he did not want to see her at the moment but Regina's heart told her to go in. Henry satin the middle of his bed staring out of the window into the evening sky. He had not heard her enter.

"Henry" Regina said as she sat next to him on the bed, her arm flew around him as she held him close and began to sob again. "I... I know you are worried about Emma, we all are. And we are going to find a way to rid her of the darkness. Mr. Gold has her sleeping so that she does not become a slave to the darkness like he did."

"Mom, I think I know where we can look but I will need you to come with me, it's in the sheriff's station, my other mom told me to try and stay out of their, so that's why you have to come with Me! " Henry stated with a sense of rush in his voice.

"Let's go now then" Regina said as she enjoyed the look of happiness that filled Henry's eyes when the idea came to him.
