Merlin (Once upon a time fanfic)

part six

Robin stared longingly at Regina, he knew now that he reacted in the worst way the night before. He took both of Regina's hands and helped her to her feet.

"Regina I'm sorry, I ....."

His sentence was stopped by the sound of Killian shouting. Regina looked at Robin, he had started to run towards Killian's voice but Regina knew if it was serious they would be to late. With a flick of her wrist Regina and Robin where being transported by a cloud of purple smoke.

Killian's shouting had brought Snow, David and Mr.  Gold running over too.  Robin unaware that Regina had used her powers to get them there, he took a few running paces before he realised.

" Killian what is it your shouting about?" Snow demanding an answer from him.

"I was stood here waiting for them two to finish their lovers tiff,  when, and I swear this happened, this door just appeared. And even I am aware that doors are used to cross realms." Killian said trying to get them to all believe.

Both Snow and David turned their attention to Regina and Robin who were still behaving in a strange way compared to their usual lovey dovey way. Regina could see the rage growing in Snows face as she was about to speak Regina got in there before her.

"Killian is right, I have used doors like this one to travel from the enchanted forest to Wonderland. We simply open the door and walk through it." Regina stated as she reached out her hand to touch the magnificent door that stood in front of them. A deep mahogany coloured wood, with a great attention to detail within the pattern, spirals down each side, a grand tree growing up the left hand side, it's branches reach in all the way to the top and leaning over to the right. What Regina thought to be a camp fire was under the tree the flames reached high and strange creatures danced around playing instruments. They where human on the top half and what could only be said to be goat legs, this was clearly a realm that Regina was not familiar with. The handle to the door was a lion's face with a big bushy main surrounding it.

"I've never seen creatures like these, and the lion on the handle must be of some significance to the realm but this is not a place I have ever heard about or read about." Regina said as she stared at the door curiously.

" Well despite Regina's lack of knowledge we need to go, if the door just appeared, who's to say it won't just Disappear? " Mr.  Gold tried to annoy Regina with his smart comment.

" Snow, David. Emma is your daughter I think you should be the ones to go through first. Anyway a lot of these doors have enchantments on them, for some only the truest of hearts can enter, so myself, Rumple and Robin would remain in the forest if we tried to go through,  but we will try, for emma. " Regina tried to sound reassuring but failed miserably.

Snow turned her head to look behind them she could heard a rustling noise coming from behind them. She knew that no one from storybrook would follow them and that the wind was not strong enough to create a noise the loud, however she turned her attention back to the situation at hand, saving Emma.

David took hold of Snows hand "together!" And with that David swung the door open and both him and snow entered the unknown realm in a bid to save their daughter. A blinding light spread across the woods as they entered. Killian was quick to follow.

" Regina, Rumple. I think it is our turn." Robin stated the obvious to try and ease the tension between everyone. Mr. Gold began to walk forward first closely followed by Regina then Robin. Robin had taken a hold of Regina's hand. Although she was still upset that Robin had stormed out on her the night before she held it back, she felt more comfortable knowing that he was there by her side.

As they entered Robin turned his head to look at the woods behind them. He could hear the sound of footsteps and see the outline of a person. He was unsure whether it was real of just the magic of passing from realm to realm play in tricks on his vision.

Another blinding light spread across the woods as they had made it into the unknown realm and the person Robin was unsure was stood in the woods counted to ten before entering the door after them.

"Snow, David,  Killian are you alright?" Robin inquired as they all stood looking round the snowy landscape that stood before them.
"We should Move!  If that door magically disappears we might be taken along with it!" Mr. Gold stated as they all started to speed walk away from the door.

Trying to be as quiet as possible the figure that entered the door after them stood trying to figure out which way the group had gone. Making sure that they did not become lost.
