xylah sailor summer
it's been a few days since the party, and i was starting to actually text the girls more and talk on the phone with them sometimes.
i grabbed my tote bag and put a change of clothes inside along with some bathroom necessities. i currently had on white sweatpants and a white tank top that was cropped.
i slipped on my slides then used a claw clip to pin up my hair, i made sure i had everything i needed just for a night then grabbed my phone.
i let my mom know i was leaving since she was the only one home,"y'all been hanging out a lot..." she said looking me up and down.
"ma..." i said and she laughed waving me off.
i went to my car and started it after texting azaire.
-do you want sumn from starbucks
azaire: get me whatever you get, when you get here the door should be unlocked
-i'm not just gonna walk in🤨
azaire: lmk when you outside
i put my phone up and pulled out the driveway before making my way towards starbucks.

"mama..." azaire said leading me into the kitchen where his mom was at.
"mama this xylah, xylah this my mama." he said introducing us and his mama smiled at me.
"girl you're even prettier in person, how'd you end up wit my son??" she asked and azaire smacked his lips.
"thanks and umm just at the library at the same time..." i said and she nodded.
"okay well it's nice meeting you, i'm cooking now so it should be done soon. y'all have fun." she said.
azaire lead me to his bedroom and closed the door behind him,"where's your dad?" i asked.
"he's out right now...he'll be b-back when the food done." he said sitting in his game chair while i sat on the bed.
"so...are you staying the night??" he asked and i nodded.
"umm...can you read wit me? before you really get into the game." i asked and he turned his chair towards the bed and placed his controller down.
"what book i-is it??" he asked as i crossed my legs and took the book out my bag.
"it's actually a book with poetry, it's called milk and honey." i told him and he got up to sit beside me.
his room was already naturally dark due to the blackout curtains over his windows, only light coming from the tv.
"you can read it, i'll listen." he said and i nodded as i picked up from where i was.
i read about 15 pages then looked at him making sure he was still awake, he looked back at me and smiled making me smile.
