i passed the blunt over to benz,"you can have the rest of that." i told him as i got on my phone.
"damn you foreal? like it's still half left." he asked and i nodded.
"it's good, i'm not tryna g-get too high finna hang out wit my girl..." i said then i heard a cough.
i looked at taylin and waited for him to speak,"you said my girl— you wasn't feeling xylah??" he asked and i rolled my eyes.
"nigga i'm t-talking about her." i said and his mouth dropped into a 'o' shape.
"oh hell, i'm high as fuck." he said shaking his head.
"was finna say...you know his ass ain't coming up off her, his ass been on her real bad. ain't never seen you hang out wit a girl so damn much." benz said and i paid them no attention.
they wasn't lying but still, i felt sumn different with xylah...sumn real i couldn't explain, she was the only person i've opened up to about my stuttering.
everybody else i told it was just sumn that started happening, xylah made me feel safe and secure...i couldn't explain it. she made me feel good about myself.
