We split into 2 cars, Elizabeth, Shawn, Walker and I in one and my dad, Zoe, Mark, and Jennifer in the other.

Shawn and Elizabeth spoke about random things whilst Shawn drove us to the lake.

Walker and I were sitting in the backseat, screaming the lyrics from Walker's aux—which was currently playing Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo.

We pulled up and Shawn parked the car before we took our towels and blanket down with us and set our stuff near the dock.

Zoe, Elizabeth, and I took off our coverups and stood at the edge of the dock.

Zoe and Elizabeth jumped in together, causing the rest of us to laugh as Mark, Shawn, and my dad lay out the blanket and sat down.

Walker came over to me and took off his t-shirt before holding out his hand. I grabbed it and we jumped in, splashing water onto the adults before we came back up.

We swam far out while the adults stayed near the dock, stopping in the middle of the lake, kicking lightly to stay floating.

WALKERS POV

I saw her standing at the edge of the dock, waiting to jump in. I walked over to her and took off my shirt before holding out my hand while we jumped in.

When we swam out and started floating, I couldn't help staring at her.

She looked so pretty, her blonde hair slicked back from the water and her black bathing suit complimenting her eyes.

Deep down, I wanted to kiss her. So I splashed her instead.

DELPHI'S POV

WALKER SPLASHED ME!

We were just floating when he suddenly splashed me, letting out a single chuckle as I stared at him, jaw dropped.

"Walker Scobell!" I shout before splashing him back.

He splashes me again before trying to swim away. I dove under the clear water and swam beside him as he swam across the top of the water.

I grabbed his arm and pulled him down with me, watching as he opens his eyes and tries not to laugh.

I go back up to the surface for air and notice we've swam about 10 feet closer to the deck. He comes back up after me and I quickly splash him, getting him back for before.

"That's it!" He says before he tackles me in the water, dragging both of us under as we try not to drown laughing.

We did this for hours, splashing, chasing, and tackling each other in the water before we got out and ate lunch, which was some sandwiches Mark had made for us.

After lunch, everyone got in. Zoe and Elizabeth gossiping about who knows what while they calmly backstroked along.

Walker and my dad messing around, seeing who can do a better backflip off the dock. Walker was winning of course.

Shawn was deciding who won each round, splashing the loser when they got out of the water.

Mark was swimming around peacefully, completely at ease as everyone else did their own thing.

I was currently sitting on the blanket, wrapped in my towel as I watched my dad and Walker flip off the dock.

I zoned out as I heard a car pull up, three people coming into view as they joined us at the lake.

"Delphi?" A familiar voice asked and I looked over.

"Momona?" I laugh as I recognize her, getting up and hugging her.

She was somehow wearing the exact same bathing suit as me, only in blue.

"This is Abby and McKenna. Girls this is Delphi, I've told you about her. She's great." Momona smiled at me as she introduced me to the girls behind her.

"Hi Delphi! I'm McKenna Grace, but everyone calls me Kenny." McKenna, a tall, pretty, blonde girl said kindly.

"I'm Abby. Just Abby." She laughed sweetly. She was shorter than McKenna and Momona, probably around my height.

"It's nice to meet you guys. Uh we're just having a cast fun day, you're more then welcome to join us." I smile as I gesture to the people behind me.

"That would be awesome. I've been dying to meet you, we have so much to talk about!" Momona says as she loops her arm through mine, McKenna and Abby joining us on either side.

"Alrighty then." I smile as we start walking to the dock.

"Oh no. I'm about to get bullied." Walker groans as he sees us. He does the Percy Jackson flip off the dock and starts to swim away from us.

I roll my eyes as the girls set their stuff down and take off their bathing suit cover ups before we all jump into the water, Abby jumping straight in, McKenna doing a front flip, and Momona and I doing backflips.

All 5 of us kids messed around for a few more hours in the lake, the adults already having gotten out and watching us to make sure we don't drown each other.

As it starts to get dark, we wind down, sitting on the end of the dock farthest away from the adults.

McKenna and Abby had their towels wrapped around them while Momona, Walker and I had already put on our hoodies that we brought.

We were all just talking quietly, watching the sunset as our feet dangled in the water.

"The sunset is so pretty." I say quietly as we finish our previous conversation.

"Yeah." McKenna agrees. "I love the sky."

"I love nature. The trees, the animals, the plants." Abby says as she looks at the forest.

"I love the moon." Momona adds. "And nighttime."

"I love the water. It reminds me of Percy Jackson, and I love the ocean." I say as I move my feet slowly back and forth.

"I love ice cream." Walker says, completely ruining the mood of the conversation.

"Oh my gods." I mutter as I roll my eyes at him. "That's not the point of this."

"What she said." Abby laughs quietly.

"You're such an idiot sometimes Walker." McKenna adds with a laugh.

"And you're always a chicken." Momona gives him a knowing look and he looks at the water.

"No but seriously." He looks at the sky again. "I love seawater. Like the ocean. Yeah, I love the ocean."

"Copy cat." I mutter and he rolls his eyes.

"At least I didn't say Deadpool." He says as he looks at the four of us.

"God you seem like such a gay best friend right now." McKenna giggles suddenly.

"Ok that's enough for tonight." I laugh as I get up, pulling Momona up with me.

I help Walker up as Momona helps McKenna up, who then helps Abby up.

We tell the adults we're ready to go, and they start gathering everything up.

Abby, McKenna and I exchange numbers before I hug Momona goodbye.

"I'll call you soon." She says as she blows me a joking kiss and they start walking away.

Walker and I walk back up to our car and get in the backseat as we wait for Elizabeth and Shawn to come get in and drive us back to the hotel.

On the way home, Walker plays calmer music, which makes me fall asleep. I lean my head against the window as I drift off peacefully.
