Paige's POV
"Hello," I recognized the voice as Peter. Leo growls, "You have got to be kidding me!" Leo grabs my arm and lifts me out of the sack. He holds me close and glares at Peter. Peter and Braeden are the only ones here.
"Well, well, well, look what we have here? No Cora to protect you," Braeden steps forward waving a gun towards us.
Leo growls again and I see his eyes flash yellow. "Leo, don't," I hiss at him. "What do you want?" I call out. Peter scowls at me. "How are you alive?" he asks.
"We don't know," Leo's voice was deep and gravely. I could tell he was trying to control his anger.
"Why do you want to know?" I ask, holding on to his arm to keep him from attacking.
"I don't know if you've noticed but my family is dead," Peter spits out. "That has nothing to do with Paige!" Leo says, straining against my arm.
"But it does! If I know how Paige is alive then I can bring them back," Peter says. Leo points at Braeden with his other hand that isn't being held by me. "Yeah well if you let her kill us then how are you supposed to know how Paige is alive?"
Peter looks at her and nods. Braeden scowls and puts the gun back in her holster that rests on her hip.
"You do know by bring someone back from the dead, it upsets the balance," Leo says. Peter growls and slams his fist into the wall. "You brought her back! There has to be a way to do it! There has to!" he cries out and starts hitting the wall.
Braeden stares at him cautiously. Leo grabs my hand tightly and whispers in my ear, "run!"
Leo starts to run quickly and I follow him.
We run off into the night, not knowing what will happen next.
