Parking my white Toyota rav4 in my driveway, I lean back in my seat with a sigh.
Football game. Tonight. I don't even know what to wear. Heck, I don't even know what time it is. Liv said we'd ride together since she's sleeping at my house tonight but she never told me what time she'd be here.
Unlocking my iPhone, I send her a text.
To Liv:
Hey, you never told me what time the game was.Hopping out of my car, I slide my phone into the front pocket of my purse. My parents will be at work until later so I have the house to myself until 5.
From Liv:
Oops! My bad. It starts around 7:15 ish. Are we taking my car or yours? To Liv:
We can just take mine so you can put your stuff for tonight in my car. I'll be there around 7.I got a instant reply back.
From: Liv:
Okay works for me! Now go get something to eat. Wouldn't want to see Cade get his ass beat on a empty stomach!Laughing at her text, I sent her a quick 'okay' before setting my phone on the iHome downstairs so I can listen to my Spotify. Shuffling my songs, The Middle by Jimmy Eat World came on. Bobbing my head to beat, I got out some strawberries, cut them up and sprinkled sugar on them. Taking them to the living room I caught up on Supernatural being it was the season finale.
By the time the credits where showing, I had my mouth open and my eyes were bulging out of my head.
Season 10 was a pretty damn good one.
Looking at the time, it was 4:47 and I decided to do my chores then head upstair to get read for tonight.
After putting away the dishes, folding the laundry and taking out the trash, I heading up my stairs. I made a right but stopped in front of a bedroom door that probably hasn't been open for a few months now.
Slowly stepping inside the room, I took in the surroundings. Light pink walls with posters of the Jonas Brothers and Camp
Rock plastered all over them. A pink and white polka dotted comforter on the small twin bed in the middle of the room waited for it's owner to sleep on it's comfortable surface. It had a few stuffed monkeys it the corner my a big white wardrobe. I walked over to the bed and sat down. Looking around the room I see my reflection in the vanity mirror. I look nothing like my sister. She had beautiful long wavy hair that went her hips. Mine was too dark and only went a little past my shoulders. Her green eyes were always bright and filled it excitement While my dull chocolate brown eyes stared back at me with sadness. Chelsea was the happy bubbly one out of us while I was the shy quite one that only talked to Cade. She's probably be in her sophomore year of college by now calling me every night about how cute the boys were at her school and venting about the test she would obviously ace if it wasn't for the day at the lake.*Flashback*
My Uncle Stewie had a huge cabin by the lake and our family went up there to visit him and his new wife Carol for the summer. Carol and my mom took us on this huge shopping spree for summer clothes. When we got back my dad and his brother were having a beer while catching up after a few months of not seeing each other. Mom and Carol started dinner and we went for a swim by the dock. We do this every summer. We have a race to the buoy just a few yards out. Chelsea wins every year being 2 years older than I so I was determined to finally win and make her do something embarrassing as a prize.
" Remember Abbie, out and around the buoy and back to the deck. Got it?" Nodding my 10 year old head in excitement, we counted to three and dived in.
Swimming as fast as I could, I treaded water. I was flying through the water. I turned around the buoy without stopping to see where Chels was so I wouldn't give her a chance to catch up. I used every muscle in my body and pushed it to its limits. I reached the deck, got out and danced. She wasn't here yet. I won! Dancing my victory dance, I sang,
"I won! I won!"That is until I realized I couldn't see Chelsea anywhere.
"Chels?" No answer.
"Come on Chels, stop playing I won!" I added a little laugh but stopped when I saw bubbles rising to the surface by the buoy. And that's when I screamed. I screamed for help. Mom and dad came rushing asking me what was wrong and where Chelsea was but I just pointed to the buoy. Dad jumped in, swimming faster than Chels and I combined. Carol picked me up and rushed me towards the cabin. But not before I caught a glimpse if my lifeless sister being pulled on the deck by my Uncle Stewie and dad.
*End of flashback*
Shaking my head, I stood up and wiped the tears sliding down my face and walked out of the room, closing the door behind me.
I walked in my room and went to my closest. I seriously have no idea what to wear. I want to look good when Cade gets his ass beat but I can't dress up obviously it's a football game. I settle on a burgundy, white, and black patterned dress tank with a black leather jacket over top. I slip on my dark blue skinny jeans and by black combat boots. I sit down at my vanity, not know what to do with my hair and makeup. I decide on a side braid and put on my diamond earrings. I conceal my dark circles and pimple scars and use a powdered foundation to make it all even. I curl my long eyelashes and apply mascara an a thin line of black eyeliner on the top eyelid. Added some chapstick then put on some o my favorite perfume from Victoria's Secret. I was ready. Looking at my clock, I had a hour until I had to pick up Liv. So I decided to start on my homework. By the tome I was done, I had enough time to grab a bottle of water for Liv and I out of my mini fridge and I headed down stairs.
Then I saw my mom.
She walked up the stairs lifelessly not even noticing me until I said hello.
"Hi sweetie. I'm heading to bed early, rough day at the hospital. If you need anything call your father. " She gave me a weak smile before locking herself in her room. She said she was tired from work but I knew it was from the pills.
"Love you too mom." I whispered before walking down the stairs and heading outside. That's when I noticed Drew. I think I almost vomited. I hurried in my Jeep before he could see me but I guess I wasn't sneaky enough. I pulled out of my driveway and took a glance over at Drew walking towards his truck with a smirk and waving at me with his fingers.
You could say we hate each other. A lot.
