You gotta problem buddy?

So it's Thursday morning and I'm getting ready for school. Normal. Everything is normal. I just woke up and I'm using the toilet. Here I am in mid yawn and I hear someone open my bedroom door. Questioningly I say,

"Hello?"

No answer. I figured it was my mom putting clean clothes on "the chair" and walked back out. Pills already kicking in.

I continue my morning routine, wash my face, teeth, makeup on and straighten my hair. I'm still in my Ben 10 pj pants and black sports bra when I walk into my room and see Nick sprawled out in my bed. Drooling. Sound asleep. What the actual fuck.

"Nick"

No answer

"Nicky"

Nothing

"I made you a milkshake."

"Atta girl. That's how you wake up a man."
He slowly turns on his back, sits up, and yawns while rubbing his eyes. He blinks a few times and says,

"Where the hell is my milkshake?"

"Up your ass. What the hell are you doing in my room at 7:15 in the morning?"

"I thought we just talked about this." He says so casually. "Milkshake."

"Make it your damn self I'm busy." I say before heading to my closet.

"Wear The Pretty Outfit." He says softly.

I sigh. "Nicky, I love you but I think I wanna where this today." I laugh and picked out a skater skirt and a loose sweater. "The Pretty Outfit" is simple. It's an outfit that resembles the one I wore when I first met Nick and Liv. He loves it because he says it reminds him that people are vulnerable but people can save them if they are nice enough. I don't know why he like it so much though. Like its just a t-shirt and jeans with old sneakers. Nothing special.

"But Abs..."

"No Nicky."

"Fine. I'll be downstair making a-"

"Milkshake. Got it. Now get out so I can get dressed." I cut him off.

"Damn, you're mean in the morning." He walks out my room and heads to my kitchen.

As I slide my feet into my black combat boots, I hear Nicky talking to my dad. I love my dad when he's not drinking. He seems almost normal as he talks to my best friend about football and plenty other manly things but even Nicky knows how unhappy and how far from being normal he really is.

I finish up with perfume and stuffing my copy of The Eternal Ones in my book bag and shuffle down the stairs to the kitchen. I see my dad in his office suit and Nicky drinking a strawberry milkshake.

"There she is. We were just talking about this years homecoming dance honey."  My father says.

"Still not going dad."  I roll my eyes and head off to the cabinet with the travel mugs and pick out one with a world map as its exterior and make some tea to get me through the morning.

"Come on Abs, everyone's going. I hear even Evil Ellie is." Nicky gives me one of his please-don't-make-me-go-alone faces. He pulls one every other Friday night when Liv drags him to a party.

"I don't know I have no idea what to wear. No one will take me anyways so I see no point." I search around for my car keys but I'm having a difficult time locating them.

"Nick here can take you, right Nick? It'll be fun! I want you to have a good high school experience and homecoming is a big part of it." Father is an ass. A complete ass. Because he knows Nick was waiting for that. Nick needs me too go because Liv is making him since she has a date with Matt Specksen and wont go without one of her friends. The already knew there was no chance in hell I was going. But Liv can't talk to my dad like Nicky can. Nicky is one of those people that can make you love or want something you never thought you would he's a very cogent man.

"Heck yeah I'll take ya! What a great idea sir!" Nick rinses off his milkshake cup a little too happily.

"Please honey, for me?" And I lost. I lost the Battle of Homecoming because I can never say no to my dad is his sober state because I rarely see him like this and to make him disappointed when he's not drunk would kill me.

"Fine but you're paying for it all daddio."

"YES." Dad and I look over at Nicky with his fist in the air resembling the final scene of The Breakfast Club. I raise an eye brow.

"You okay son?" My father ask Nick.

"Um yea I just found Abbie's keys. Don't want to be late!" Nock says as he had me my keys and starts jogging to the garage door. "See you later sir!" He shouts as he closes door behind him.

"See ya dad, have a good day at work. I'll go shopping with Liv tonight see what I can find. Love ya." I hug my dad ass he kisses me in my forehead.

"Have a great day honey, I love you too."

After Nick and I went our separate ways in the school, I took my normal seat in homeroom and was scrolling through Twitter. I get an notification say someone mentioning me in a tweet. Curious, I click the little bell at the bottom of my screen and I notice Drew said the following in the tweet.

"@dsnipe83: You look good today Abigail. @_abbie14"

I was blessed enough to have Drew Snipe, the one who told me what Cade really thought about me, in my homeroom past 4 years of highschool seeing that both of our last names start with an "s". I looked over to wear he sits and simply said, "Got a problem buddy?"

He smirked and motioned towards his phone. I guessed he was indicating I was only supposed to answer through Twitter. Confused on his reasoning, I looked back down at my phone.

"@_abbie14: @dsnipe83 if I look so good then why can you tell me to my face? To afraid?" Immediately after I tweeted it, he retweeted it and he simply replied with,

"@dsnipe83: @_abbie14 oh don't you worry, I'll tell you everyday if that's what you want."

"@_abbie14: @dsnipe83 I actually really dislike that and would rather you stay away from me. Please and thank you."

He retweeted and it ended with the first period bell.
