"Hmmm... what do you like? I haven't done many activities outside of combat... like ever..." - Me
"Oh, let's see... ever heard of a carnival?"
"What is a carnival??? Is it a weapon?"
"It is like... an activity center, it has plenty of minigames with prizes if you win"
"What would even be a prize here? I can't take
anything outside of this realm..."
"Eh, don't think about, just use this opportunity to keep your mind off your past and try to move on from it"
"Are you worried for me and my past?"
"Honestly, yes, you lock up your emotions and they built up... when they finally managed to burst out... you hurt yourself and forget your morals..."
"Heh, sorry... traumas are hard to talk about."
"Anyway, what did you want to do first?"
a huge "carnival" suddenly appears in front of us
"What the... why are there so many tents?" I ask
"Those tents each host an activity to do."
"I guess that... flashy board with those lights and... a bell?"
"Ah, that one hammer game... the objective is to hit the red spot with the hammer to send the metal hammer inside the board into striking the bell"
"That's it? Just a strength test?"
"I mean, I guess?"
we walk over to the game
I pick up the top heavy hammer...
"This would never really effective for any form of combat..." I state
"Cosmo, stop thinking about combat and relax"
"Ok... so just hit the red spot..."
I raise the hammer...
*Boom**Ding!**crash*
"Oop... too hard?" I said after I sent the bell sky hgh...
"Oh well, not like it really matters since it's not exactly real..."
"hmmm... how about that weird... target game?"
"The water gun one? Or the star?"
"Water gun.. I think?"
We move to the mini-game
This went on for hours... breaking every game, then moving on to the next...
"Sorry... I don't think I can play any of these games..." I said... finally giving up
"No worries... just try to cheep up..."
The environment changes into forest
"I have a mission to do... we can rest once this mission is complete..." I say... trying to go back to the real world
"... very well"
*wooosh*
I wake up and see the captain in front of me
'Sakuya, I thought you said the Sacred Sakura distorts time... how did they get here'
'Simple, I let time pass by at normal speed so your body could recover while you were busy with the carnival'
'Sneaky... but clever'
The captain pokes my forehead
"Um... why?" I ask
They point to the weird fur goo substance which was deteriorating around me
"What the...?"
I was so confused on how this happened that I forgot to even check the tube towards the other islands
They poke me again then point towards the tube
"Alright alright, I'll go, just stop poking me... and maybe talk..."
I get up and opened the tube... where I was promptly sucked in and was transported to another island
Wait... who are those three... how did they get here?
They tried to introduce themselves as some treasure hunters but I wasn't paying much attention as I was scanning the surrounding area for what to do
"Heyyyyy! It isn't nice to ignore us!" The inkling with orange hair said
"H-huh, oh sorry, you didn't seem like much of a threat so I just overlooked you-" I try to explain myself
"You were searching for OUR treasure, one more step and Ill *she starting laughing... kinda weird*" The weird blue octoling accused me... then threatened me
"What is so called treasure...?" I asked
"Valuable, but none of your concern" the orange inkling answered
"Whatever..." I said as I start to walk past them
I look at the shuttle... there is a familiar presence within it...
I don't know what it could be... I have never seen one before...
The urge to go to it is great... but I shouldn't go alone...
Then again... I'm not alone...
I have Sakuya by my sid-
"Oi, you rude octoling, we challenge you to a dual, winner gets the treasure we have found!" The blue octoling blurts out but it seems their team was informed of this judging by their shocked reactions...
"You sure about this Shiver? This is kind of unfair... us three against her" The orange inkling comments
"Yeah, why risk our treasure?" The manta ray said
"cmon... it's been boring around here, let's have some fun!" Shiver said
They pick me up and start running... somewhere...
