- This will take forever.
Ivy began to complain as she walked in Diagon Alley with her brother by her side.
- Stop being so impatient, Vi. Weren't you looking forward to going to Hogwarts?
- Yes. Hogwarts, not this
- This is just a step in the journey to Hogwarts. So. Which pet do you want?
- I... - she stopped walking to think - Just the basic. An owl.
- Ok. Since you want to be fast. I'll get the owl, and you'll go straight to the wand. And then we get the rest together. Sounds good?
- Perfect.
- Any preferences in the owl?
- Everything is perfect.
Cedric pointed Ivy to the wand shop. Ivy followed the directions perfectly, not wanting to get lost in the crowded street.
The shop was narrow and ugly. Peeling gold letters over the door read "Ollivanders: Quality Wand Artisans since 382 B.C." There was a single wand on a faded purple cushion in the dusty display case.
Outside was a man whose size startled Ivy. He held a large cage with a snow-white owl. However, even with that, she decided to enter the store, almost crashing into a boy who was leaving.
- Sorry, mate. - she said before entering the store
A little bell rang somewhere in the back of the small shop.
- Good afternoon. - said a soft voice.
- Hello. I'm Ivy Diggory.
- Oh. I remember your brother, Miss Diggory. Thirty centimetres. Flexible. The fur contained in the wand was that of a particularly handsome male unicorn, who was five feet tall and who almost gored me after plucking a hair from his tail.
