Harry watched from afar as The Weird Sisters finished the song, all the students at the Yule Ball cheered and stopped dancing.

Just like everything this year, the Yule Ball has not gone much better for Harry than anything else.

So now he's sitting there at the ball. He ended up going with Parvati Patil, who had ditched him for a Durmstrang guy, someone older. And Harry now knew who Ivy had gone with. Of course, it was Theodore Nott. He should have seen this one coming. When he had walked into the great hall for the champions to dance, the green-eyed boy had spotted her with Nott.

She was beautiful, and Harry hadn't expected anything else. Ivy wore an emerald-green long dress adorned with delicate silver embroidery, reminiscent of intricate ivy vines, a subtle pattern across the fabric.

Ivy couldn't help but smile as she twirled in Theodore's embrace, but their dance was soon interrupted by the sudden appearance of Cedric.

- Can we dance, Ivy?

Ivy opened her mouth to protest, to tell Cedric that she was perfectly content dancing with Theodore, but before she could speak, Theodore had already released her hand and turned on his heel, disappearing into the crowd without a word.

Left with no choice but to comply, Ivy allowed Cedric to lead her onto the dance floor, her movements stiff and awkward as they fell into step with the music. She could feel the weight of Cedric's gaze upon her, his eyes searching her face for some sign of acknowledgment.

- You can't ignore me forever, Ivy. - Cedric said softly, his voice tinged with a hint of frustration.

- I can try.

- How long are you going to be mad at me? You know, that isn't going to change the fact that I'm one of the champions now

- You could have told me that you had to put our name on the Goblet.

- You knew you would react like that, and I didn't want to make you angry over something that wasn't certain.

- But that doesn't matter. - Ivy insisted, her voice rising slightly in frustration. - You should have told me!

- You didn't react this badly to Harry. - he pointed out, a note of bitterness creeping into his voice.

- He didn't put his name. Ivy retorted - He couldn't even if he wanted to. And I'm confident in his ability to survive everything at this point, if he can survive You-Know-Who, he can deal with a dragon trying to burn his ass too.

- And you are not confident in me? - Cedric questions, mildly offended

- Why did you go to that anyway? Glory to Hufflepuff? Glory to Hogwarts? Dumb, just dumb. - Ivy says

- Ivy, please. - he pleaded, his voice tinged with sadness. - Can't we just go back to how things were? I miss you, my sister, more than anything.

Ivy's expression softened as she looked into her brother's pleading eyes.

- I miss you too, Cedric - she admitted, her voice softening. - You didn't tell me about the tournament, and I felt like you were keeping secrets from me.

- I know, Ivy. - he murmured, his voice thick with regret. - And I'm sorry. I should have told you, I know that now.

Ivy couldn't hold herself and jumped into her brother's arms, squeezing him in a hug, which was immediately reciprocated.

- I better get back to Cho.

- Sounds good. Say hi to her for me.

- Sure.
