Writing prompt 2: Ver 1 out of 3
Monster? ending
Kimera, John, Ethan, and Kai are walking on a hiking trail constantly joking around with each other until they came upon two different trails without any signs telling where the new trails lead. They thought for a few minutes before taking the dirt trail on the right, it did not seem like it was taken very often. They started walking hoping that the dirty trail would take them back to the parking lot because it was starting to get dark and rain. They look behind them noticing John was not there, they decide to shrug it off thinking he went back to the parking lot without them, so they continue walking because they had no other choice to due to the trail being washed away.
The rest of the group tried to call John to tell him that they continued walking down the trail but none of them had signal, so they all decided to split up because it was raining hard, Kimera went west, Ethan went north, and Kai went south. As Kai walked in the piercing icy rain for about two hours until she came upon an abandoned mansion. She had no other choice but to enter the creepy mansion. She pushed open the large deep oak door causing a loud screech to come from the door. She started walking throughout the mansion sneezing due to the amount of dust. She continued to walk looking for a good room to shelter in, as she walks throughout the halls, she feels like she was being watched but she decided to just shrug it off.
When she came across a decent enough room, she sees a partially fresh puddle of blood. Kai starts to walk noticing a searching for the source of the blood, once she finds the source, she finds a huge fresh puddle of blood. She crouches down to the fresh puddle of blood to examine it, until a thick crimson liquid dropped onto the tip of her nose causing her to flinch. She looks up to see her friends hanging upside down from their own intestines, all three of them have terrified faces before they were murdered.
She screams in pure fear as she runs away to the exit of the mansion, she hears loud thumps as she runs, the person had a large masculine silhouette with a bloodied knife shining in hand with the moonlight glistening off it. The person that killed her friends must have been waiting in the darkness for the perfect time to attack. As she was looking behind her, she trips over the crimson carpet, she tries to squirm away, but it was too late, the person was already in front of her. The last thing heard from Kai was an agonizing scream before quiet footsteps and the rain hitting against the windows.
