thanks to for asking this question.
The simple answer is yes.
In fact, communication is vital for a system, it's really hard to work together when you can't communicate. There are 2 main ways that our system communicates. The first is simply speaking with each other. When a alter is fronting, or in control of the body other alters that are near front of co-fronting with that alter can speak with them. although, at least for us, communication this way is not like someone talking to you per say. More so an unfamiliar thought. We can also talk while not fronting, in head space. Head space is a space that alters exist in when they aren't fronting, this space can look different for every system, no two head spaces are the same. So please keep in mind that this is just our experience in head space. For us, talking in head space feels very similar to how talking to anyone outside of headspace would.
The second way we communicate is by writing. We have a journal that we keep as a way to communicate. This especially helps to keep us all on the same page, we take notes of homework, commitments we might have made, new people that we meet. This helps so we don't miss appointments or deadlines. In the journal we also take polls on things. All sorts of things that have an effect on all of us.
