The girl took a deep breath as she came to the church. The Grand Cathedral to be exact. How was she going to do this? With a jerk and a scrape, the doors pushed open. The nuns in the building were walking around with their bibles. Nobody addressed her. They were not permitted to. The only one able to talk to her was Sister Mallory herself.
The girl pulled up her green coat and went across the vast building until she got to room 136, their meeting room. She went inside and closed the door, which made a loud sound in return.
"Hey, Sister." The girl got on her knees and held her head down in front of the nun, who in return, stared at her with a bored expression.
"Please, Nancy, have some dignity for yourself," she said softly as she sat down on a red plush ottoman. "Tea?"
"Um, nah, no thanks, m-ma'am," Nancy stuttered as she stood up. The sister looked at her with cold blue eyes before pouring herself some tea.
"So, I am assuming that you have found her location."
"Um, about that, I wasn't able to find her but if you gave me some more time I could...work...something......out..."
The sister had put her tea down and had walked behind Nancy as she was making excuses. She clicked the lock on the door and slowly turned around. They were now standing face to face and even though the sister was shorter, Nancy felt so small.
"I believe you've just ran out of time," Sister Mallory said to the now trembling girl.
"Pl-Please don't do this! I just need a day or two," she begged as tears came out of her eyes.
"I gave you more than what was needed! Now your time is up," Sister Mallory snapped and walked backwards a few steps. Her eyes turned a bright white and she began to open her mouth like how a flower opens its petals. But this was nothing angelic. It was the complete opposite of that actually. Large clumps of body parts were coming out of her mouth. There were teeth and veins and fluid. It looked like she was turning inside out.
Nancy could only stare at the nightmarish mess."Now," said the distorted voice, "punishment is in order." The creature slithered towards Nancy, leaving behind a trail of saliva and other liquids. It made a series of squishing and additional wet noises. It opened one of its enormous mouths and-CRRUUNNCH!!!
The other nuns couldn't hear the gnawing of teeth or cracking of bones that was coming from within the soundproof room. Besides, who would be foolish enough to interfere with Sister Mallory while she was in a meeting?
In a matter of minutes, Sister Mallory came out of the room with a smile. In her hands were the clothes that belonged to Nancy.
"Sister," said a nun who was new to the Trinity, "where did Nancy go?"
Sister Mallory opened her eyes and looked at the young girl. She patted her head softly.
"Nancy was a sinner," she began while starting to fold the clothes in her hands, "With some persuasion, I was able to stop her soul from going down the wrong path. Now she has become a part of the church. She has given her mind to the church, she has given her love to the church, she has given her blood, body, and life to the church."
Sister Mallory smiled while she received an ovation from her fellow nuns.
"She will be worshiping with me from now on. She won't need these clothes anymore but they can still be of some use. Perhaps I'll donate them," she said and started to the door, leaving the praising nuns behind.
As soon as she was outside and the door had shut, she scarfed the clothing down her throat. She really hated eating fabric but all evidence must be terminated. She looked at the shoes and groaned. At least they weren't high heels or boots or something. She lifted up her tunic, opened up her body, and set the shoes inside. She'd have to get them later.
