About a moon had passed since the Clan had been made. Ashmoss had managed to fully heal. As Wolfblotch looked around she watched as Amberbite and Clawpaw walked away to the entrance. However, Clawpaw seemed a little nervous than normally. Wolfbloch frowned and wondered if there was anything she could do to help. She stood up and soon saw Oatpaw.

Wolfblotch smiled, ever since he was apprenticed to her she had always felt safe and comfortable around him. She went over to the fresh-kill pile and picked up a trout, her mouth watering. As she picked it up, she walked over near some of the warriors. Just a little farther away was Fuzzstar who was with Boragewisp, who were talking about the first 'Gathering' that the Clans would have very soon.

Fuzzstar had explained to the Clan about Boragewisp's visit with Sunnypaw and that all the Clans will gather around the willow tree on a cliff not too far away. I wonder how Pineember and Sporeleap are doing. She wondered, thinking about her two friends that were now in different Clans.

Sporeleap and Wolfblotch were pretty nice to each other when they were normal Keepers, but Sporeleap did teach her everything that she knew and Wolfblotch always trusted her. Meanwhile when Pineember joined the group while they were walking to the beach, Wolfblotch had befriended the nervous and insecure she-cat very quickly. Though, Pineember had never told Wolfblotch were she got her snake-bite scar from.

When she finished the fish she walked over to the apprentice den where she saw Amberbite watching over his apprentice as Clawpaw and Oatpaw tackled each other. At first, Wolfblotch was worried that Clawpaw was going to hurt her own apprentice because of her unsheathed claws, but Clawpaw seemed very careful about where she put her paws. Eventually, the older Oatpaw managed to pin the younger apprentice down.

Wolfblotch smiled and looked at Amberbite. "Amberbite?" She mewed. They looked at her. "Yes Wolfblotch? What is it?" They asked. "What if we took our apprentices out?" She asked. Amberbite sniffed and raised their head. "I guess." They muttered. Wolfblotch felt her pelt prickle. She knew that Amberbite had never liked her that much, and something told her it was because she had become deputy, but she hoped that it wouldn't get in the way in their teachings. Wolfblotch gathered the apprentices and quickly walked out of camp.

As they walked out of the camp, she glanced at the apprentices who were walking around the camp with excitement. Though Wolfblotch still noticed the way Clawpaw seemed more hesitant. It's probably nothing. She thought. She glazed down at her apprentice Oatpaw, who seemed more confident than he had started off as. Wolfblotch couldn't wait to see her apprentice become a warrior.

"Can we go to the tidepools?" Clawpaw asked. "I want to see if that octopus is still there!" She exclaimed, jumping up and down. Amberbite's whiskers twitched. "Again?" They purred. "You keep wanting to go see that creature." Clawpaw's tail swished. "Because it's so cool!" She replied. Wolfblotch purred at the she-cat's response. "Okay." She mewed. Amberbite gave her a fierce look before looking back at their apprentice.

Clawpaw started to dash off toward the tidepools farther away. Oatpaw flattened is ears and his hazel eyes widened. "Clawpaw, wait for me!" He cried and raced off. Amberbite rolled their eyes. "Apprentices." They laughed before running after them. Wolfblotch quickly followed them.

As the wind brushed against her fur, the salty breeze started to choke Wolfblotch, and she had to stop. She glanced at the waves that where splashing onto the shore, licking the sand like a tongue on a wound. She smiled, even though the Clan was still getting used to the new place, Woflblotch felt safe. At peace.

"You coming?" Shouted a voice that Wolfblotch quickly recognized as her apprentice. "Yeah." She replied and dashed off to the tidepools. When she got there, Amberbite looked back at her. "What took you so long?" They asked teasingly. Wolfblotch didn't answer right away. "I guess that I got distracted looking at the waves." She admitted. The ginger and white cat stared at her for a few moments before walking over to their apprentice. Clawpaw was staring at something that caused all of the other three cats' attention to focus on it.
