Silas used to be a simple man in love with a simple girl. She was believed to be his one true love. A beautiful maiden with a light, soft brown skin complexion and dark freckles sprawled across her nose as her long brown-blonde hair flowed down her back in curls. They both were extraordinary with the magic her Goddess mother had bestowed upon them and selected members of their village, being their most powerful members. They had fallen in love, got married, and started a family. They wished to grow their family but were afraid of death. His wife was not immortal like she was, so she worked on a spell to live forever with the love of her life and any of their future children if they chose to do the same. His wife had begun creating the spell as the life she carried grew, but their life would soon come to an end when a follow witch member, Qetsiyah, poisons them.

Silas is completely distraught about his wife and unborn child, thinking she just had a sickness, but as Qetisyah becomes closer to him, he finds out about her betrayal all for his heart. So he gives it to her fakely, planning his revenge.

"I don't ever want to be parted from you, even by death."

He tells her tricks her into finishing the immortality spell that his late wife had started. He must take the elixir to bring his wife back when she reincarnates. Along the way, he did not expect to fall in love again with Qetsiyah's handmaiden, who reminded him of his late wife in personality, the person who had been there with him as a friend but then grew into something much more profound, realizing that this woman is his soulmate. He trusts her to know what he is doing and that he still intends to help his late wife and convinces her to take the immortality elixir with him, and she does.

So, he gets his revenge on Qestiyah, tearing out her heart just as she did when she murdered his family, but he underestimates Qetisyah, who does not take defeat lightly. She creates a cure for immortality, and the other side kills Amara and forces Silas to take the cure and live with her as a human or be imprisoned.

He does not take her offer, so he spends centuries trapped, building his powers and planning to be free as his late wife reincarnates repeatedly, with him being the only person to bring her back.

"We will meet again lamperó astéri." Silas says as he stares down at his dying wife. Her skin color has a palish complexion as her meadow-green eyes have already started losing their bright, joyful color. Their baby had passed before sunset, unable to handle the poison long. It is nighttime when it finally starts to take her.

"Y-you promise?" She asks, her eyes caring hope as she takes shallow breaths.

"We will meet again; when we do, you will never have to endure this again. I promise on my soul." He cups her cheek in the palm of his hand.

"I love you, Silas." She looks into his crying eyes as she takes her last breath.

"And I love you, Nayara." He responds as she goes still, the life draining from those eyes that once captured him.
