A Bustling Home

At Hermione's instructions, Glorfindel and I kept our heads down and hair over our ears. We had been given clothes of this world to wear so we didn't stick out like sore thumbs.
"There are so many people. I've never seen this many rushing about before." I said to Glorfindel in elvish. We exited the bustling 'Kings Cross Station' as I was told it was called, back out into the snow covered city. Everything moved so fast and there was not a spec of nature in sight.
We followed closely behind the group of magical mortals to another metal box on wheels.
"We won't all fit in the car. Hermione honey, can you apparate Ron and yourself to the burrow?" Mrs Weasley asked the frizzy haired witch.
"Of course Molly. We will meet you there." She said taking Ron's hand, picking up her case and disappearing with a crack. I jumped at the sound and stared at the spot the two had just been.
"This place is a constant surprise." Glorfindel said voicing my very thoughts.
We climbed into the small metal 'car'. Ginny sat in the front alongside Mrs Weasley and Harry, Glorfindel and Myself squeezed into the back.
"We will go to the Leaky Cauldron and take the floo to the Burrow. I need to make a stop in Diagonalley but I'll meet you at home." The motherly witch said turning the car on.
If I thought the train was nerve wracking. Being in this small metal car was terrifying. Mrs Weasley was still chatting away to her daughter happily.
"Bill and Fleur are going to be joining us for Christmas Day. Charlie said he'll try to come home too. Oh I am so excited!" She gushed turning left onto a small street. A car blasted it's horn as she nearly hit them in her distraction.
"Mum! Please focus!" Ginny said reaching over and yanking the steering wheel more to the left.
The car swerved back to the left side of the road.
"Sorry dear." Mrs Weasley said sheepishly.
I kept my eyes shut tight as we weaved through the back streets of the city.
Soon the car came to a stop in a dimly lit back street. The night had fallen quickly over the large city. We all clambered out of the small car into the cold night air. Harry and Ginny dragged their heavy trunks out of the boot of the car.
"Another tavern that smells like Bree." I said to Glorfindel as we walked into the pub that I would not have noticed if it wasn't pointed out to me. Glorfindel chuckled quietly and placed Ginny's trunk on the floor as we stopped in front of a fireplace.
"You didn't have to carry it." Ginny said to Glorfindel who waved her off.
"Nonsense. I am much stronger than all here. I would not let a Lady carry her trunk." He said to her.
"Alright. I'll see you all later dears." Mrs Weasley said giving her daughter a quick hug before bustling off through the busy pub.
"We will be travelling by Floo powder. What you do is you get a handful of this green powder here, step into the fireplace, throw the powder down and shout the place you want to go. This time you will should 'The Burrow'. I will go first to show you." Ginny said to us picking up a pot of green powder and took a handful. She picked up her trunk, stepped into the fireplace, threw the powder at her feet and clearly said 'the burrow'. Green flames shot in from the base of the fireplace and Ginny disappeared.
Somehow I wasn't surprised this time.
Harry volunteered to go last so I went next.
I took a handful of the dusty powder and stepped into the soot covered fireplace.
"The Burrow" I said throwing the powder down before my courage left me. Green flames roared around me without burning me.
I stumbled out of the fireplace at The Burrow thankfully. Ginny was anxiously waiting and breathed a sigh of relief when I stepped into the house.
It was a homely house, patchwork blankets strewn haphazardly over the plush seating. A large decorated tree stood in the corner opposite the fireplace.
"This is a lovely home Miss Ginny." I told her smiling. Ron and Hermione came in from the kitchen with a tray of steaming mugs.
"Here have some tea. Mrs Weasley has dinner ready for when everyone gets here. We managed to save it from the Twins sabotage when we got here." Hermione said rolling her eyes.
I picked up the hot mug and thanked the witch as the fireplace roared again and Glorfindel gracefully stepped out of the fireplace. I winced remembering how I gracefully stumbled out like the perfect elf I was raised to be.
Oh course at that moment two loud crack sounded behind Ginny making her jump and drop her mug of tea.
"Oh Hi little sis."
"Didn't see you there."
Identical voices belonging to the twin red haired men said to Ginny.
"Hi! I'm Fred!"
"I'm George!"
They said stepping around their fuming sister stopping in front of Glorfindel and myself.
"You two remind me of my brothers." I said narrowing my eyes as the one missing an ear held his hand out to me. Twin mischievous grins were plastered on their faces.
"I'm not shaking your hand until you remove what ever prank you are hiding." I told them firmly. Their mischievous expressions changed to shock and then to delight.
"Amazing!" Fred said grinning widely as George pulled a small round flesh coloured object off his hand.
"Lady Arniel always had a gift for knowing when and where pranks were." Glorfindel said as Harry fell out of the fireplace onto his trunk.
"The Chosen One everybody!" George said teasingly yanking Harry up from the ground.
"Shut up George." He grumbled dusting his pants off.
"Who are our guests Potter? They can't be friends of yours, they're attractive." Fred said walking over and placing an arm on Harry's shoulder. Harry rolled his eyes and grinned at the older men.
"This is Glorfindel and Arniel. They are staying at Hogwarts for a time." He said accepting his fate.
The way they acted around their family made me miss mine more.

Mrs Weasley arrived home a couple of hours later. Her arms full of bags and parcels.
"Did you all eat?" She asked as she made her way through the room I now know as the 'lounge room' to the stairs.
No one answered her for a moment as she paused and looked back.
"Yes thank you Mrs Weasley. It was a lovely meal." I said to the plump woman. She smiled brightly and continued up the stairs.
I observed the laughing, happy magical beings as they conversed with each other, snuggled into the couch.
"You miss your family." Glorfindel said to me quietly.
I turned to face him.
"Yes I do. I see my brothers in the twins and their mischievous ways. I haven't seen my family in so many years and I was looking forward to it." I said to him softly. He reached out and squeezed on of my hands.
"I know it pains you. We've found one Elfling. Surely we will found the other soon." He said with a comforting smile.
I smiled back at him however I was pretty sure my eyes didn't convey the smile.

Slowly but surely, everyone started making their way to their beds for the night. The moon was unseen in the sky hiding behind dark clouds of snow. I slipped into the bed provided to me quietly as Hermione and Ginny slept in theirs.
The house was quiet save for the breathing of it's occupants. I fell into a restless sleep, dreaming of beautiful Imladris and my family.
