...: Man I miss my bed.
It was yet another morning in this new world. ... had spent the night in yet another alley way though he put more thought into where he slept trying to pick a more open area closer to a big street but even then it was mostly just hoping he wouldn't get robbed again.
...: Well I seem to still have the leftover food on me.
After finding a place to sleep yesterday he enjoyed his first meal he got while leaving some for the next morning.
...: After all they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Today was the day that he would take a test to determine if he can become a soldier so it was important that he had something to eat beforehand.
...: It would've been nice to have the sour patch I came with.
After getting robbed the previous night the stolen goods were very much missed though it made him wonder now just what would they do or think of what they stole?
...: They wouldn't have ever seen the packaging before nor have any idea what a phone was. It would be funny to see their reaction. Well I should get going. I'm not completely sure what time it is but it's better to be safe.
He heard yesterday that the examination would take place at noon but it appeared that it was a bright sunny morning so without a clock it would be difficult to tell when it would be noon. So he set out onto the bright street filled with unfamiliar creatures once again.
...: Once again it's confirmed that I'm really here. I wonder when this feeling will go away.
Despite it being the third day here the feeling of this place being like a fantasy has still lingered on.
...: Perhaps once I have my first lunch and sleep in a bed it'll feel like home. But for now once again I have nothing to but walk for a while. How boring!
There would be many things from home he would miss but maybe the most at this point he misses the entertainment. Before if he was ever bored he would simply listen to music, text people on his phone, play games on his computer, or watch videos on youtube but now all of these things are gone and because of his current status he does not even have a book to read.
...: Well I don't want to be late so I have no choice but to just do nothing but enjoy the scenery till I get there.
O O O O O
...: This is definitely the place.
After walking for a while he finally made it to what appeared to be a military outpost. It was along the border of the city but still near the city itself. It had a castle-like structure with stone walls surrounding a large area and a large gate for an entrance with guards stationed throughout the wall and entrance.
Guard: What's your business here? If you're here for the tryouts then you're early, you can wait with the others.
Immediately after approaching the building the guard spoke first and had been expecting people like him to be coming to apply.
...: Yep I'm here for the tryouts where do I go?
Guard: Follow me.
The guard was very straightforward and looked to be tired, likely from working a morning shift. He left his post and led ... through another smaller door beside the gate that led to a courtyard. The courtyard looked fairly nice with some cool plants and grass in good condition. Through the courtyard the guards led him to another door in the wall surrounding the whole area and through a hallway finally leading to an area outside that looked like the typical training ground of a fantasy world with around a dozen young people waiting.
