Kelsey sat in class just a desk behind Sora. Her eyes fixated on Joe as he wrote everything down the teacher was telling them, word for word.
It still upset her the way he brushed her off so coldly back at their litte get together. How can they call him a friend?
It baffled her but then again, she didn't know their childhood though it still was unclear to her.
She turned back to her book when something out the window caught her eye. It was too far to be seen and she tried to get a second glance but nothing was there.
"Please, Ms. Campbell. I realize the bell will be ringing soon but I am still teaching my class. Have a seat."Kelsey embarassingly got back into her seat with her face turning red. Sora gave a reassuring smile and a thumbs up indicating that everything will be okay. Kelsey made the same gesture and went back to her book on her desk.
When the bell finally rang, Sora got up and stood by Kelsey's desk.
"Hey, ready for some lunch?"
The sound food made Kelsey's stomach growl making the other girls chitter and laugh amongst themselves as they stared directly at her.
Sora walked Kelsey to a large room with long wooden top tables in neat and even spaced rows."Sora! Kelsey!" Mimi called out to them waving over to where they all sat.
Tai, Matt, TK, and Izzy sat together on one side with Mimi, and Kari on the other. The only one who wasn't sitting with them was Joe. Kelsey looked around and saw no hair nor tail of Joe in the cafeteria."Hey, I can get our lunch if you want to head over and join the others."
Kelsey smiled and gladly joined the others.
"Hey Kelsey, its good to see you again." Izzy brought up.
"Yeah I thought Tai was going to scare you off for sure."
"Oh shut it Matt." Tai growled.Kelsey laughed and took a seat next to Kari.
"So, how are you liking the school?'
"It's been quite the experience."
"Oh boy, we know what that means." TK pointdd out.
"It's Joe isn't it?"
Kelsey nodded her head, "I mean, what is his problem?"
Tai shrugged his shoulders, "Its got worse over the summer. All he does now is study."
"I can't feel him through our digivices." Mimi piped up.
Before Kelsey could ask what Mimi meant, Izzy had his hand over her mouth, "Cellphone, I'm pretty sure Mimi meant cellphone."
