Kelsey hugged her legs close to her as the creature and herself locked eyes on to one another.
Neither one of them attempted to say a word to each other. The glaring look upon the seals face said everything that Kelsey needed to know.
She, herself, was hesitant on saying anything whereas this thing wanted to shout at her.Kelsey slowly lifted her hands to show she was no threat. This caught the creature's attention.
"Look, there is alot going on here. Your upset and I am more than confused. Can we be civil, at least?" She asked softly with her hands still raised. The creature kept glaring at her, "Fine. But I want answers and the truth."
Kelsey nodded her head in mutual agreement, "I'd like that, too."
She slowly unfolded herself and sat cross legged in front of the window, taking deep calming breaths."What's your name?"
"The name's Gomamon." It answered short but it kept true to its word.
"My name is Kelsey, it's a pleasure to meet you." She said to it back.
"Why are you in Sora's house?" Gomamon asked.
"I'm staying with her as a part of my school's curriculum." Kelsey replied."How do I know you're not-"
"Gomamon?"
Kelsey was caught off guard at the sound of Sora's voice. The creature turned and its demeanor changed drastically.
"Sora!"
She watched as it raced from the window to the front door.Kelsey raced to the front door and opened it as quickly as she could. But Sora was hugging Gomamon close to her, "Oh its so good to see you!"
Kelsey became alot more confused than she was before.
"Sora?"
All three of them got comfortable in Sora's bedroom. Gomamon sitting close to Sora and Kelsey on the other side of the glass table."Why are you here?" Sora asked curiously.
"I needed to see Joe. A few days ago, I felt something."
"Like what?"
"You know the feeling when you cut a string?" Gomamon asked.
Sora nodded her head.
"That's how it feels now. I can't feel or sense Joe anymore." Gomamon cried, laying close to the ground for comfort.
Sora looked to Kelsey in shock and turned back to Gomamon, "Then why here?"Gomamon glared right back Kelsey, "Because she stole Joe's digivice."
This accusation startled Sora and gave Kelsey a puzzled look.
"I'm quite sure he's mistaken."
"No, I'm not. Ask her to take it out of her pocket." Gomamon demanded.
Kelsey laid her hand over her right pant pocket staring down at Gomamon, unable to find the words to try and fight her way out of this.
"Kelsey?"
She sighed and angrily dug out the rock from her pocket and slammed it on the table."That thing fell on my head as I was walking back here the other day. When you went out with your friends." Kelsey explained.
"Liar! You stole it!"
"Both of you stop!" Sora shouted, "We aren't going to get to the truth with all of this bickering back and forth."She looked to the digivice and picked it up, "I've seen these things turn red or black but never go fully inactive or turned into a rock."
She showed Gomamon whom sniffed the device.
"But...does...does this mean?" He asked with tears welling up in his eyes.
"I don't know Gomamon. There's just one way to find out."
Sora took out her cellphone and dialed up a number that Kelsey didn't catch.
"Hey, Joe! Its Sora." She smiled as she greeted over the phone.
"Yes, I know you're trying to study but I have a quick question and then I will leave you alone." She sighed.
Kelsey looked to see Gomamon glaring at her trying to hide more tears from showing.
"Do you know Gomamon or what happened to your digivice?"
When asked the question, Sora's face went blank.
"No, Joe. That's not-"
"Joe, please listen-"
Each time Sora tried to speak she was cut off by a very loud and angry Joe on the other end of the call."Alright. Sorry I ever called." She said in a dead, passive aggressive tone.
Gomamon and Kelsey both stared at Sora wanting to know what was all said.
"I'm sorry, Gomamon. He.....he doesn't know who you are."
