Saturday 6th March.
Dear Diary.
Cameron text me this morning and asked me to hang out. Calum also asked me to a party tonight. Wow I'm getting so popular with the male population.
I seriously find this so odd. I've even been friends with boys before, but now they're in the picture, I'm pushing my girlfriends away slightly. I think I need to fix that.
Anyway, I hung out with Cameron for a while. He's such a nice guy. We met up at Maccas earlier. I walked in and saw him straight away, sitting down at a table by himself.
"Lisa!" He greeted me quite loudly with a clumsy hug. "Im so hungry, lets order." He pulled me over to the queue.
What do you want? I'll pay." He brought out his wallet. I laughed, shaking my head.
"It's fine, I'm all good."
"Nah come on." He nudged me.
"Im fine, seriously!" I laughed again as he pulled a puppy dog face.
"Lisa please. I don't know you that well and I believe that they key to bonding is the food you share. So hurry up and pick something." He said quickly as we stepped up to the counter.
"Fine, I'll have a quarter pounder combo, sprite as the drink."
"Make that a large. And a large Big Mac please." Our order was taken and they started to make it.
"Cameron, I won't be able to eat all of that." I told him.
"All good if you can't, I'm starving." We made small talk as our meals were finished and we took them outside, sitting at a park bench across the road.
"God you look tired.." I stated. He just shrugged, munching down his burger and starting on his chips before I had even opened my bag. He finished everything before I'd finished my burger and helped me with my chips.
"So what do you like doing? Or something." I asked him lamely when we'd run out of things to talk about.
"I really like skate boarding, but I can't. Um I like eating, obviously and other shit."
"Why can't you?"
"Because I'm terrible. But I think carrying my boards makes me look cool." I burst out laughing. He smiled, but was mostly serious.
"Hey, are you okay?" I was worried. He looked slightly clammy and he kept looking over his shoulder.
"Im fine." He gave me a huge grin and I felt uncomfortable. Something didn't feel quite right. "Just perfect actually."
Then it clicked. Cameron was high, stoned whatever you want to call it. He was taking drugs. I wasn't quite sure what to do because I'd never had anything to do with them, all I knew is schools and the law says they are bad.
It made sense, him being so hungry, slightly paranoid, his eyes being reddish and him looking tired.
"What does it feel like?" I asked nervously.
"What?" He asked confused.
"To be you know..." He laughed understanding.
"Baked? Oh it's great. It's only weed so it's okay, nothing bads gonna happen." I nodded.
"Okay good." I still felt slightly uncomfortable.
"Do you want some?" He offered, taking a smaller plastic bag out of his backpack.
"Maybe another time." I said as he put it back.
I wonder what it feels like to be high. Do you feel amazing? Or is it a complete let down from what you usually feel like. I just don't know.
In other news, I'm meeting up with Calum soon. I better go get ready.
Peace out.
Wow that was lame.
