Sitting down at the table with a notepad and a pen I start to write.

-My sweet Alyvia, I write this letter with a heavy heart. Watching you grow was by far the best thing I could ask for. I loved you with my entire self, know that. After your mother died I felt like I lost a part of myself. She gave me you, she made living in this town worthwhile. When your mother took her own life, I tried to understand why. Tried to understand what went wrong. With you acting up at school all the way to me being a terrible husband. Ive come to the conclusion that nothing myself or you had done. I drove myself crazy just to understand that. It was like the more I asked why, the more I pushed you away. I cant do that to you anymore. I wont. Today you went to school late because me and you got into it again, I wanted to tell you I love you one last time before I left. Ive been planning to leave since you turned 18. Everywhere I turned, your mother was there. I cant stay in this town. And I cant take you with me, you're the spitting image of your mom. Beautiful as she was, looking at you is looking at her. When you come home, I'll be gone. Dont look for me, or call me. This is goodbye Alyvia, I love you. -Your loving Father.

After I finished writing I got up and dressed. I wanted to stay home but couldn't. I got a school to run.

Stepping into the building I smile. Time for Act 4.

The day was just like any other day. boring and in need of some fun. After the call with Charlie I met him and his daughter at the diner. Her name was Bella,17 years old, brown eyed and haired without a real personality. The perfect girl to hang out with.

"Hi, I'm Bella." She said curtly. "I know who you are." I state rolling my puffy red eyes. "I talk about you a lot to AJ. She can be a little aggressive at times but she is good company." Charlie explained. "Aww Charlie, I knew you had a crush on me." I place my hand on my heart.

"That just warms my ice cold heart." I say with a sickly sweet smile. Bella coughs on her drink. "AJ your jokes are a little new to Bella, please rain it in." He said awkwardly. "Oh she's fine. Now, should I send you the little note my father left or are you coming over to get it?" I ask, looking away to pretend to be sad.

"You can bring it over when you come to hang out with Bella, she's new and could use the company. Right Bella? " He turns to her. "Yea sure. I'm free whenever." She states, I nod. I let fake tears well up in my eyes.

"Hey, we'll find him. Don't worry." Charlie says, putting a hand on my shoulder. "He can rot in hell for all I care." I say truthfully and let the fake tears stream down my face. "What's going on?" Bella questioned.

"Her father left. We're trying to find out why." He explained to her trying to comfort me. "I'll tell you why." I state, putting on the performance of a lifetime.

"Because I look like her, I remind him too much of my mother. He can't stand to look at me. I believe his exact words were 'everywhere I turned, your mother was there. I can't stay in this town. And I can't take you with me. You're the spitting image of your mom, as beautiful as she was, looking at you is like looking at her. When you come home, I'll be gone'. "

I pause right there and heave my chest for effect. Charlie brings me into his arms. "She's a little more emotional than usual. She's usually angry." He tells his daughter. "What's wrong with looking like your mom? She asks. I inwardly smirk, I became hysterical, "her mom committed suicide when she was 15. She's the one who found her." I sob into his arms.

"Omg. I had no idea. I'm so sorry." Bella says, wanting to comfort me. "It's fine." I hiccup "it's not like you hung her." I wipe my tears, pulling away.

"Now I have an excuse to be a bitch." I say, putting on a weak smile. "You're not a you know, you just have gone through so much that you put up a wall so high no one can climb." He rubs my shoulders.

"I remember the little girl that would go door to door and hand out flowers. The girl who sat on the sidewalk and cried with the kid who fell off his bike. The girl who came to the police station just to hand out coffee and cookies. That little girl doesn't just turn into the girl who pushes people off buildings overnight. Now whether you tell me what really happened or not, I refused to be like everyone else and be pushed away. Your smile could light a room and I can't wait to see it again."

I look away. "She's gone." I whisper now real tears coming to light. "All it took was one night." I look down. He was close enough to hear. "I still see her, in your eyes. Behind the pain." He mutters. I look into his eyes seeing nothing but concern.

"I'm gonna go home." I stand to put some distance. "Got school tomorrow. " I started wiping my eyes. He stands to. "OK. You know I'm just a call away, remember? " I nod not meeting his eyes. "AJ, I mean it. I don't care how small you call me. Understand?" I nod again. "I know." I mutter and leave.
