The next day at school I'm wearing glasses and noise canceling headphones.

but I kept my headphones on. But nothing. And I mean nothing can block out the sound of Emmet's booming laugh. It made my head hurt a lot more. "For the love of God, shut up." my speech was a little off and my voice came out as a whine.

"Are you hung over?" One of them asks. I'm not sure which. "No, I didn't sleep much. And laughing so loud does not help." I stand up and head to the office. I sleep through my classes and head to my car.

—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sitting in my car I take off my glasses. My eyes were a little red but fine otherwise. I close the mirror and theres a knock on my door. Its Rosalie. I roll the window down.

"What is it now?" I questioned. "Will you come over to hang out with us?" she asks, with a hopeful smile. I sigh, "when?" I question, "today, yes. You can follow Emmets jeep."

I give her a grim look. "Today? Do your parents even know Im coming over?" I ask, trying to get out of it. "It's fine, trust me." she waves off.

"Fine." I say, giving up. He walks back to her group, and starts the car.

Following Emmett's jeep is great, the rush I feel trying to keep up with him is exhilarating. Adrenaline pumping through my veins, as if this is a car chase. And in some cases this would be true.

The trees blur into the background as wind rushes through my window, making my hair catch the wind. The sound of the engine and wind is all that fills my ears. The feeling is new to my system, something that makes me feel something.

I try deciphering the emotion. Keeping focus on the road. My mind travels, seeing if it can place the feeling or at least put a name to it. My eyes never leave the back of Emmetts Jeep.

The Jeep slows down, the feeling that casts a shadow disappears and the sight of a big house enters my view. The windows make the place seem welcoming. Parking my car, I get out.

The Cullens pile out their vehicles and I stiffen. God I hate people. Why did I agree to this? Well never know. My glasses at the top of my head slide down to the bridge of my nose and Rosalie wraps her arm around mine.

"You ok?" she mutters to me. "Yup." I replied. "Come meet our mom." Emmett says, grabbing my bag. They all walk up the stairs as Rosalie walks at my pace. Slowly the group dispersed into their own corners of the house.

" Kids." A sweet soft spoken voice calls into the space. "Were home." all of them call out in different spots making the voice laugh. She comes into view. Her hair seemed to be brown with a red hue to it.

She had gold eyes just like the rest of her family, her smile was warm and motherly, only making me stiffen. She looked to be 55 in height, making me taller than her. "Esme, meet AJ. AJ meet our mom Esme."

Rosalie lets go off my arm and I extend it to her. "Hi, you have a lovely home." I state, trying to shake her hand. "Oh, thank you dear." she pulls me into a hug and I completely freeze. My arms stay in mid air. "She'll be coming around here a lot more." Alice says, walking into the room.

I pat Esmes back a little and pull away. "Oh, I dont know about that." I state, putting a little distance between me and Esme. "Of course, youre welcome here anytime." Esme says, putting her hands together.

When Esme walks away, I turn to Alice. "Why would I be coming over here more?" I ask, tilting my head. "Were gonna be great friends." she states like it was obvious. I hum, in indifference. "Why am I here again?" I turn to Rosalie. "To get to know you."

I sigh. "Whats to know? I hang out with one person, only one person in this town doesnt fear me. I like pushing people off buildings and I wont hesitate to break someones arm. Thats all there is to know." I state.

"Lets go sit in the living room." Alice grabs my arm and pulls me into the living room. The brown stands in the room were filled with books, all different colors. The cream carpet was in the middle of the room.

The L cream colored couch was against the wall on the left. The brown thin oval coffee table was a nice touch. A small cream colored chair was directly in front of it. The walls were covered in paintings. The windows made the space much brighter than the dim lit lights.

As I scan the room the three Cullens observe me. I sit in the corner of the L shaped couch. "Ask away." I mutter. "Where's your mother?" Emmett asks. "She killed herself a year before you just moved here, next." I answered. "What about you father? What happened to him?" Alice ask

"That same year he was attacked, crippled. As of recently, he upped and left, leaving a note. The death of my mother was too much on his heart. That I reminded him of her too much, looking at me was looking at his dead wife, the love of his life. Anything else?" I ask.

"Do you have any siblings?" Rosalie asks." Nope. only child. Are we done here?" I ask. "Why can't we be friends?" Emmett asks. "What is it about me that makes you want to be my friend, because Im pretty sure I dont come off as warm and cuddly". I state, looking between the three. "You have a gift." Alice states. "Yea, a temper. Now can I go, or are you gonna keep stalling?" I ask.
