I Can't Stop Loving You

Chapter 2. Moving Prep

Colby, Sam, Jake and Skyler were super close to their graduation day and were sitting at their handout spot. They were just talking about life and what they wanted to do. Skyler honestly didn’t know but she knew she wanted to be by Colby. 

Jake: So, Skyler what do you plan on doing
Skyler; I don’t know
Sam: Maybe you should join us I mean your on the channel a lot and the fans love you
Colby: Till you find what you wanna do of course, you don’t gotta stay with us
Skyler: Yeah sure I’ll stick with you guys for a while
Jake: Cool, so we’ve already planned everything, Sam you should fill in Skyler
Sam: Oh yeah, um Sky a couple days after graduation we’re all moving out, so since your joining you gotta start packing soon
Skyler: Oh shit, yeah graduation is around the corner geez time goes by fast, yall should have told me sooner!
Colby: Yeah I know what you mean Sky and oops

They hung out for hours till it got dark and Sam and Skyler walked home. Skyler was deep in thought about what she wanted to do and the conviction that she just had with the group, Sam had noticed.

Sam: Hey Sky, you good you seem deep in thought
Skyler: Y-yeah I’m good just doing a lot of thinking of what we just talked about
Sam: Ah, don’t worry about it too much you’ll have enough time to think while having fun
Skyler: Well yeah but we’re young and I don’t want to waste my life away then when I find what I want to do it might be to late
Sam: I know what you mean but just don’t worry about it for at least one year ok
Skyler: Ok ok, fine I’ll listen to you
Sam: (he smiles at her) I’ll help you pack
Skyler: Thanks….big bro

Sam was shocked to hear those words again, Skyler hasn’t called him that in years. It made him happy to hear his little sister say that again. It just reminded him how old the both of them have gotten and all the fun times they went through as little kids. He just wants to make sure Skyler has the best of everything in her life now and when he doesn’t see her anymore. He wanted to hold onto for just a little longer, I mean that’s his little sister after all how couldn’t he want that.

Time passed and the days till their graduation got shorter and shorter. Skyler still worried about what she wanted to do but Sam and Colby let her know there was no need to worry. She’ll find what she’s looking for soon and it’ll come to her naturally. Skyler listened to them and tried not to think too much about it. Colby had come over to her and Sam’s house to help the two of them pack as the day of them moving away came closer.

Mom: Oh Colby, I feel like I’ve been seeing a lot of her lately
Colby: Oh yeah I guess so
Mom: What are you over here for this time
Colby: I’m helping Skyler and Sam
Mom: With what…what are those boxes for Colby
[Sam and Skyler walk in]
Mom: Sam!! Skyler!! What are to two up to and why are you drugging poor Colby into this
Sam: Mom don’t freak, me, Skyler, Colby and Jake are all moving out a couple days after graduation to pursue YouTube
Mom: Really? Skyler is this true
Skyler: Y-yes mom
Mom: And you two didn’t think about telling me
Colby: They wanted to, they were just worried about how you would act

Sam and Skyler’s mom was upset that they didn’t tell her and that they were leaving without informing her. But then she realized that they are grown and they can make their own decisions. They are not babies that she has to take care of anymore. They’re going into the real world now, she was happy that they will at least be doing something they’d like to do. She let Colby in and watched as her babies packed, watched as her home became more and more empty. The memories of them as little kids filled her mind and she was close to tears, but she stayed strong for them. Just so she could make sure they wouldn’t change their mind because of her. 

Colby: SO Sky what do you plan on packing
Skyler: Literally anything (she laughed) I love everything I own and I don’t wanna pick only a couple things
Colby: I mean you can always come back or you can get your mom to send it to you
Skyler: I mean I guess 
Colby: Just take the stuff that you really want and can’t wait to pick it up later
[Colby and Skyler go around the room picking stuff the she wanted to take now and putting it on her bed]
Colby: Is this all
Skyler: Yeah, where you put the boxes
Colby: Sam has them I’ll go get it
[Colby leaves Skyler’s room and heads to Sam’s room to get the boxes that she needed soon after her mom came in]
Mom: Hey baby
Skyler: Hey mom, how are you doing
Mom: still processing everything, are you sure your gonna be ok
Skyler: Of course mom, I got Sam, Colby and Jake also i’ll just be one call away
Mom: Are you sure this is what you want
Skyler: No not really but I know i’ll enjoy the journey till I do know for sure, I mean me and the rest of the boys have been doing this for a while and I do really enjoy doing it so it’s not like I’m doing something I completely dislike
Mom: Ok (She weakly smiled)

Skyler and her mom talk for a while till Colby comes back with the boxes and he helps her organize and pack everything into the boxes. Of course they weren’t moving yet so she left some things out for her to use as the moving day gets closer and closer. Skyler had just remembered that the boys had planned everything before having her join so she didn’t know where she would be moving to. After packing everything she asked Colby the question that has been on her mind.

Skyler:Hey Colby, I have a question for you
Colby: Yeah what’s up
Skyler: You guys planned everything out before I joined so where am I moving to
Colby: Oh right we only have three apartments damn
Skyler: Yeah that just came into mind now while packing
Colby: Well you could room with Sam but I think you’d what some space
Skyler: Yeah, so where am I living
Colby: You know, I’ll let you have my apartment and I’ll room with Sam
Skyler: Really? You’d do that 
Colby: Yeah totally
Skyler: Thanks Colby that means a lot to me

For the rest of the day they kept packing their things and when Colby had to do Sam and SKyler spent the day spending time with their mom and dad since graduation was in a few weeks.Three weeks go by and prom was nearing Skyler really wanted to go with Colby but she was honestly too afraid to ask.
