Chapter 4

SAM'S POV

"You, my dear, have dragged yourself into the life of a rockstar." Ashley said.

"No shit Sherlock." I said sarcastically. "It was a rhetorical question." I said.

"Oh." He said in understanding. Everyone laughed.

"Sorry everyone, but I must love you and leave you." Lauren said.

"Ok. I love you babe." CC said.

"I love you too CC." She said. "Bye!" Everyone said goodbye and she logged off. The other girls decided to do the same, so we said our goodbyes and then we all went to bed.

*Time Skip - A week and a half later*

ASHLEY'S POV

We were sitting around the table on our way to Salt Lake City, which was our next gig, talking about random stuff. Jake started playing again 2 days ago, much to his delight, because his hand had healed and he was now reunited with his beloved guitar.

We were having quite a nice conversation until my phone rang. I picked it up and looked at the caller ID 'Unknown.' I decided to answer it...I'm so glad I did.

"Hello?" I answered. I heard the sound of someone breathing raggedly and crying slightly.

"Ashley, it's Alicia, you have to help me." She said in a frightened and pleading voice. My eyes went wide.

"What's wrong?" I asked urgently.

"He killed them Ashley. He killed them all." She said. What?

"Hold on, who killed who and when?" I asked.

"He killed my whole family last night. Mum told me to hide, so I did. I heard gunshots and screams and the sound of a car driving away. When I came out of my hiding place I found my family slaughtered. Both my parents with bullets through their skulls, and both of my sisters stabbed." She explained. I gasped and covered my mouth. I could feel everyone's eyes on me but I was more focused on Alicia right now.

"Alicia, where are you?" I asked.

"I-I'm in Salt Lake City." She said. My eyes widened. "I took a car and fled after it happened." She explained.

"That's two states away from your home!" I exclaimed. "How did you get from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City in less than-" I stopped. "Did you drive overnight?" I asked.

"Yes, I got out as soon as I could. I couldn't stand seeing them like that and I wanted to get away, so I packed up my things and left." She explained.

"Ok. We're on our way there now, since Salt Lake City is our next gig. How about we meet you there and you join us on tour for a while? I'm sure the guys won't mind." I asked.

"You would do that for me?" She asked disbelievingly.

"You're our friend, and we protect our friends." I said.

"You're an angel Ash, you really are. Thank you so much." She said. I smiled slightly.

"Anytime. You're welcome, and we'll see you soon yeah?" I said.

"Definitely." She said, I could hear the smile in her voice.

"Bye."

"Bye." I hung up and looked down at my phone. Everyone was silent.

"Ashley? What happened?" Sam asked, scooting over to me and putting a hand on my shoulder.

"That was Alicia Vigil. She's a good friend of ours, she played the main character - Eve Black - in our movie "The Legion of Black", and she is going to be joining us on tour for a while. She's meeting us at Salt Lake City, in case you didn't know." I said, my voice slightly shaky. Everyone looked at me as if to say 'continue'. I could tell they knew there was more to it.
