Rem blocks the strike from one of the knights while he looks behind him to see the shocked look on Melty's face.
"Frost!" Rem called out
Frost nods as she blew a cold breath at the knights which was only strong enough to make them look like they tripped.
"Curse you! How dare you take the royal princess Melty hostage!" A Knight shouted
"We're not taking her hostage!" Gin said with a growl but the knights didn't believe him
"You're a liar! Fellow knights, justice is ours! Let's destroy the Devil of the Shield and his followers!" Another knight said before they were pushed back by another cold breath
Rem sighs at this, admittedly he liked the "Devil of the Shield" title, but hated that it was used for something like this and Malty's schemes.
The knights were shocked as they sweatdrop as they saw the group walked away from them, their plan wasn't working as the group barely did anything and it only tripped them.
The knights got up and grew angry that their plan wasn't working as they charged at the group who were walking back to the wagon, but Rem used the BioPlant Shield to spawn plant monsters to distract them as the group took off.
"Nice" Gin said to Rem who grinned
Melty was still in shock at what she heard from the knights, something that they noticed as Filo was comforting her.
"Are you okay Mel?" Filo asked while hugging her
"I- What's going on?" Melty asked
"To put it simply, one of the queen's shadows gave me a warning about the three heroes church. From what I know they are planning something big" Rem said "And before we went to Erhard's shop I spoke with Ake" He said
<Flashback>
"Ake, how many knights support the three heroes church?" Rem asked as Ake thought about it
"I'm not sure, but I'm certain that a lot of the knights support the church" Ake said
"I see" Rem said
<Flashback End>
"And when we were heading to Erhard's shop, me and Gin had noticed one of the knights following us and led him to an alleyway" Rem said
"It was there we interrogated him" Gin said
<Flashback>
The knight that was following the group found himself to be pinned against the wall of the alleyway with shackles made of shadows courtesy of Rem using shadow magic.
"I hope that you didn't think you were sneaky enough to not be noticed?" Rem said in a haunting tone which made the knight shiver "Now tell me, why were you following us?" He asked
"I don't answer to devils..." The Knight said
"Oh, but you will. And I have many, many ways to make you talk" Rem said cackling as he walked towards the knight who grew fearful to what he's going to do to him

"You didn't kill him, right?" Melty asked concerned
