Xalia's pov:
Never had I thought that I'd have to take out my gun and use it on my day off from work. I knew the Russians were in Spain but I didn't know that they'd be under the same roof as me, let alone the same room.Immediately after Ace left, I had a sick gut feeling that made me follow him. And that feeling made me shoot down the majority of the men on their way to kill him. If only their boss knew that I was in the building, their plan would have been different.
The look Ace gave me after I shot them down bugs me for some reason. I know I switched to work mode real fast but I did not expect such a look from him.
His Italian accent tells me he has been here for a while. His Spanish was good but his accent was still there.
When I saw him shooting those 6 men down without a sound and with ease, I knew he was part of the mafia and had been for a long time.
As I walked back to the part of the club where I left Catalina, I found her back facing me with her gun raised. Her daggers were ready to charge and stab as they settled right on top of her thighs.
I taught Catalina all she knew about combat. I was her mentor. I taught her how to shoot, fight, kill, steal, and even destroy. It was for her own good and now it's safe to say that she's a mini me.
As soon as she felt my presence, she turned around and smiled at me.
"You should stop wearing that perfume you know. It's something I'm used to and I don't like it. I'd rather you surprise me next time".We chuckled loudly like mad women. No wonder we're besties. We stopped when we heard running. We looked toward the direction of the sound and soon, two familiar figures appeared.
"God, I would've shot you!" Catalina giggled after her statement."Imagina sus caras si lo hicieras." (Imagine their faces if you did.)
I acted out the scene by holding my chest and dropping on my knees as I had my face holding emotions of shock and horror. Catalina laughed so hard that she shed a few tears. I laughed along when I saw their faces holding boredom with their arms crossed and laughed harder when Catalina and I looked at each other. I swear I almost choked on my own spit and peed on myself.
"¿Ya terminaste?" Ace asked with irritation clear in his voice. (Are you done?)
We nodded and left the deserted club and stood on the street for some reason. I saw it as a good chance to take out a cigarette and my lighter. I lit the stick and took a long drag before releasing it into the air.
"You smoke too huh" the other guy asked. I think his name was Sebastian since I heard Ace calling him out when he hit on Cat.
"No. Yo bebo" I rolled my eyes. That was enough to get me a pair of playful side eyes from him. He smiled and because I was a bit high, I smiled too. Clearly Ace was not cool with that but I didn't care.
His face held an emotion I could figure out but I didn't really care. Coz normally, I didn't really care about anything. It was just being me.
