He's fine.

...A few days later...

Y/n was getting increasingly worried, too the point his mother had actually noticed something was wrong with him. She'd tried everything to make him feel better. She was slowly losing hope that her son would be okay after his friend had been taken into custody.

As she sat typing on her computer in the workplace, a co-worker of hers came up to her, "M/n? Are you okay? You've been a bit out of it recently, I'm getting a little worried."

(M/n) looked up from the screen, "oh, it's just you Wendy," she sighed, her wrinkle lines deepening, "I'm worried about Y/n, he's been very worried about a friend of his recently. He's a worrier. I doubt he'll stop worrying until his friend is okay," she admitted.

Wendy's eyebrows shot up, "have you spoken to Y/n about this? He might be feeling upset. From what you've told me, he's always struggled to make friends due to his shy nature in public," she pushed some of her hair out of her face, "maybe try sitting down with him and fully talking to him, I know you're worried about him, but imagine how worried he is for his friend."

"I'm worried for his friend too. Azrael's a lovely young man," M/n rubbed her eyes, "I'm sure he's fine... but you can't help but worry when someone you thought was kind and caring is taken into police custody."

"Did you say Azrael?" A man's voice was heard from behind Wendy, "that boy is in custody? Finally." The man sounded relieved, "I'm sure he's the reason my daughter is missing."

M/n glared at him, "excuse me Tim?" Her voice was a dangerous calm, "Azrael told Y/n he wasn't there and was at work when the girl went missing. Y/n also told me that your other daughter threatened him in school." M/n wasn't being entirely truthful. Y/n had said this Dylan had dragged him out of the classroom, hurt him and told him to stay away from Azrael quite threateningly because of her sister going missing.

Tim stared at her, "Dylan what? I didn't know about this." His eyes demanded an answer from her.

M/n turned back to her computer, seeing Wendy make her own excuses to leave and walk off, "you heard me." Her voice was level but her blood was boiling. She wanted to punch Tim.

"Dylan threatened your son?" Tim's eyes softened suddenly, as if M/n's words had just hit his brain, "I'll be having words with her. That is not tolerated in our household. I am sorry about that."

"It's no worries. He's a little scared of her but he's fine," M/n's voice was short. She hoped her son was okay in school. Y/n wasn't doing too well that morning.

Y/n wasn't doing good in school. His head ached from the lack of sleep. He was finding it hard to focus on the task at hand. It didn't help that Marie and Sally were giving him dirty looks, making snide remarks and shoving past him in hallways like some sort of mean girls in a TV show.

He read the message that Azrael had sent him that morning. He was okay, which made Y/n feel so much better.

Y/n didn't know why Azrael was suddenly sending him kisses but he wasn't going to deny that it made his heart flutter every time he read them. He reread the messages, contemplating whether he should message his mother to tell her Azrael was alright. He knew she was worried about him and he knew that she would want to know he had heard from Azrael. He glanced up, seeing Mrs. Elm was talking to another student and quickly opened up his messages to his mother.
