Day 7
Today was the last day of The Gorge, Aubrey and Charlotte were going to drive home later than Matthew and his crew so that they could spend a little more time with Thomas, Dan, Tyler and Marcus. The two girls that Dan and Marcus were kissing last night were called Izzy and Grace. They were sisters and extremely British. In fact Izzy suggested that on summer break they could all go 'BO - ling' together. Grace seemed quiet when Aubrey first met her but later in the evening with the help of a few beers she became 10 times louder spilling all the embarrassing stories of her twin. Izzy and Grace had only 6 more days left in America and they really wanted to make the most of their trip, Charlotte suggested that Izzy and Grace stayed at her house for their last couple of days and that they must all meet up together on summer vacation.
"Hey guys talking about Summer Vacation you should all come over and visit us in Australia" Thomas suggested to everyone packing their belongings into the array of colorful duffel bags.
"I mean i would love to but i really can't afford it!" Aubrey called from inside Thomas's pods in which she had slept in the night before.
"Yeah me too" Charlotte said with a frown.
"Well if the invitation included us, we would love to come and visit!" Grace chimed in.
"Of course your coming!" Marcus said pulling Grace into a kiss.
"Hey guys please just get a room, we have had enough of that from Aubrey and Thomas!" Tyler called breaking the kiss. Grace just blushed and looked at her shoes before she restarted packing her bag again.
The Dark Bunny Souls were the closing act of The Gorge and would be playing at 11 pm. Aubrey said that they could stay for their set and they would have to leave because other wise they would never get back in time for school tomorrow. Spring Break for Aubrey had nearly finished and school was calling her. She loved every single minute of the festival and luckily she didn't get drugged or kidnapped, ironically she didn't want to leave. Thomas didn't want to forget Aubrey but inside he secretly knew that he probably would never see her again.
"Dude stop being so depressed, you have to hold onto her. I haven't met a single one of your ex girlfriends who is like her! Come on man, what do you think the internet is for?" Dan said when Thomas told him about his problem.
Thomas thought that Dan did have a point, until he became paranoid that at her school there was someone better than him, that he didn't know about, or maybe he was just a spring fling to her. His heart told him to stop thinking and just enjoy his time with Aubrey, but his brain was going overtime and didn't stop playing these stupid scenarios in his head.
"Hey guys 10 minutes until you go on" Dave their manager called from backstage. Aubrey, Charlotte, Izzy and Grace got backstage passes off Dan that morning for their show. Thomas slung his guitar over his right shoulder and continued to argue with Dan about their set list. Dan wanted to open with the song 'Broken Rules' but Thomas wanted to open with Aubrey's favorite song 'Electricity'. They decided to compromise by letting the girls chose the opening song. Grace and Charlotte voted for'Broken Rules' but Aubrey and Izzy voted for 'Electricity' in the end they were back where they started.
Two minutes were left until the show and they still hadn't decided on the opening song.
"Dude come on just let's us play Electricity first and then we can play Broken Rules!" Thomas argued getting more and ore annoyed with Dan for disagreeing with him.
"Why do you want to play Electricity so badly?" Dan asked.
"If really have to know i was going to get Aubrey on stage and ask her to be my girlfriend! But thank you for ruining it!" Thomas shouted, his face turning a deep shade of red.
Izzy, Grace and Charlotte all turned to Aubrey with wide grins on their faces, Aubrey just looked at her shoes with her face turning the colour of a tomato. No one spoke for a whole minute they were all sharing at Aubrey even Thomas was staring.
"So Aubs what do you say?" Dan asked, smirking at the girls on the couch.
"I..er..um.."Aubrey stuttered, her cheeks turning even darker shade of red.
Thomas looked directly at Aubrey, his eyes glazing over.
"Oh..I see.." Thomas choked, a single tear tumbling down his cheek.
Before anyone could stop him, Thomas threw his guitar onto an empty guitar stand and stormed out of the tent.
All eyes turned to Aubrey. The boys looked sickened by her presence while the girls comforted her.
Aubrey looked up at all of them, her eyes brimming with tears.
"I..I was going to say yes."
