A/n: We're getting somewhere y'all.

~Alessandra~

At the door stood a tall Gaurds man. He held a spear in his right hand. Metal Armor attached to his body. His red skin was dirtied and his hands were worn with blisters and scraps.

My eyes traveled from his eyes to his stone-cold face. He had cracks along his skin. I grimaced. Maybe they were scars.

The man was buff and muscular. My eyes traveled again. over the popping veins of his forearms.

"Your majesty it's time for dinner your mother requested you attend" He spoke in a surprisingly soft voice despite his demeanor. I had to stare up at him. He was almost ten feet taller than me. He was quite attractive.

The man stepped aside from the doorway and let me exit the room. I glance one more time in the darkness before exiting.

I still felt uneasy at what the elf had told me. What was so bad about a broken mirror that someone had destroyed it? More to say, what terrible event occurred?

"What's your name sir" I asked curiously as I followed him down the hallway. I am still amazed as the ground glows under my feet. I noticed how it did not react to his feet or anyone else's but mine.

"Aragorn ma'am," he said with his back straight and head pointed forward "Head guard"

I nodded as if I understood.
"Ah.." I bite my lip. fluttering my eyelashes. I couldn't get over how attractive he was "So Aragorn...." I began seductively. Or what I thought was flattering but Aragorn just laughed and shook his head.
I watched as he held up his hand. a gold band gleaming around his finger "Married"

Embarrassment flooded me.
I looked away and down at the ground. I wanted to disappear into the cracks of the floor. Something please swallow me whole!

Aragorn chuckles again "No need to be embarrassed I get it all the time. I guess nobody expects a handsome man to be married nor married to a man"

With my cheeks still flushed I looked back up "You married to a man?" "Your..."

"Gay," he said "yes" "Most of us monsters here are" We passed by a group of girls who eyed us. Especially Aragorn and his muscles.

Aragorn continued "Most creatures down here are mated or just having causal flings with each other" he laughed. We turned down the corner. Up ahead were two guards stationed outside a black door with two blood handprints.  Why is there blood all over this place?

"Zara and Emma Bolshoi are Mated. They're Lesbians" "I and Arthur, my husband also a guard are mates as well" He noted.

Mates?...Mates...I've never heard of that word before. What is that It sounds magical.

"What are mates?" I asked as we got closer to the two guards. Their heads tipped in our presence. I didn't know if they were bowing to him or me.

Aragorn sighed and shifted his spear to the other hand.  Rearranging his armor on his chest.

"Mates are, mates are two people who are spiritually destined to be together. Their hearts are connected they have always been even if they never knew it. Even if they were both with another person in the beginning, they were always born to be together in the end. Even somehow in death"
